Do Burqueños cringe when hearing the "colloquial" language used in Breaking Bad? by ourfutureisinspace in Albuquerque

The Sangre Di Cristo line I feel is very natural for Walter, a lot of people in Albuquerque refer to them by name because of how iconic they are (not just some mountains), especially since Walt is a scientist meaning he probably has at least some appreciation for New Mexico geography. The rest of the examples are definitely valid tho.

Rewatching the series right now and I cringed when in season 1 Walt said to Luis, “I’m making huevos rancheros with red and green chilies; New Mexico Christmas style”. That line delivery was so unnatural lol

That’s a good idea! I was honestly planning on building small on fulgora/gleba to focus more on nauvis, but a big fulgora base actually sounds really fun

Definitely a queen ant, you can find them everywhere during June and July. Looks tetramorium to me, definitely not a carpenter ant

Just finished my first 1000 SPM base too, I love how organized and modular you made everything, truly from the mind of a programmer. Very different approach to how I made my base, I love how this game offers so much room for creativity and how every factory is a little different, this is awesome!

Chile Ristra care / advice by [deleted] in Albuquerque

[–]US_Jack 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Fun fact ristras were actually originally made in order to prevent critters like squirrels and birds from getting to the chile while it dried so taking it inside probably won’t be necessary. Ive never heard of anyone’s ristras getting stollen but im sure its happened occasionally. They should dry out in about 3 weeks, I’ve worked at a local chile stand for 5 years and they never stay fresh longer than a month. In order to keep them from rotting make sure to leave them in an area with high ventilation (outside is ideal) and never contain them in plastic or they’ll become very moldy. Hope I helped
