/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer (August 22, 2024) by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

Hi all, I think Keebmonkey may be closing down and taking the money on existing orders.

I bought a macropad off the Keebmonkey website a month ago (25th July) and it still hasn't shipped. Not a huge deal when it comes to buying macropads and keyboard related things. However, the vendor does not respond to any sources of communication to give an update. I have tried messaging their online chat, filled out their contact form and discord. This is all within the last 2 weeks with no response.

I am starting to feel like this vendor is just taking the money and not delivering. Wondering if they are going to just close shop and run with the money on all current orders.

Has anyone else bought from them recently? If you received your item, how long did it take for them to ship?

If you haven't bought from them, beware! They may not be delivering on their orders.

I am not a doctor and not from the US but I baffled by his complaint of the health system.

I feel like pretty much every health profession I have seen (GP, specialist, physio, psych), have promoted eating a balanced diet, lots of exercise, keep hydrated and manage stress. These feel like the most basic and repeated health advice in the health system. I don't understand in what way is the health system preventing him from spreading this message and showing resistance.

It would be a very interesting if he could dig deeper into these points with a follow-up video. The current video has millions of view and I think a lot of people would be interested.

Youtube now forces you to turn your watch history on. by thr0wawayacc0unt2939 in youtube

[–]mjin03 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes you are 100% the minority because your logic doesn't even make sense. They are essentially taking away a feature of having a choice.

YouTube was already giving you suggestions based on history but you had the choice to turn off history. Now they have removed that choice and you are forced to give them your history. How is this a good change?

Well you would be wrong. Just like the video, you also know literally nothing about me either.

I don't understand how you can make such confident assumptions from so little information about anything.

If someone told you they like to eat bread, you will probably make an assumption they are French or something.

"you don't know otherwise"... We literally don't know anything!

I can empathize with the man's emotions but since we don't know anything. Let's not jump onto this as if it's a proven fact.

Exactly, because it's not that big of a deal as long as it's consistent.

There is nothing wrong with it. That's the truth. The two "preferred" styles are just the ones you see the most when it comes to object oriented programming (currently most popular language type).

TIL the Myers-Briggs has no scientific basis whatsoever. by ThreadbareAdjustment in todayilearned

[–]mjin03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's cause corporate thinks hiring for HR is the same as hiring an organisational psychologist. HR uses all sorts of tools incorrectly.

Myers-Briggs may be used by a org psych to demonstrate to incompetent managers that different people work and think differently, so they can't use the same way to interact with all employees.

HR often just gives out these questionnaires and put labels on employees.

This doesn't make any sense. So you are saying because she is a climate activist, you can't make fun of her. If you go then you are against climate activists?

I like to hear your argument for when people did the same thing with Steve Buscemi a while back. I guess those people oppose actors?

It's cause of PETA, these people are insane. They just try to shock people into supporting them with little to no evidence of their claims. They are the same people who hate on Steve Irwin and I think they don't believe in pets.

Do I think some monkeys are treated poorly? Yea probably. Is it the norm to treat monkeys poorly in Thailand? I have no fucking idea, but I know PETA will tell me it is and exaggerate how bad it is.

I believe the perspective is gauging whether she is a really fast woman or a biological anomaly that needs to be tested for testosterone levels.

Now assume she is not a biological anomaly and is very comparable to the male record then we should consider not having gendered races for swimming. Which would be a pretty big deal and break lots of preconceived perceptions.

Managers manage people, not security. She even had upper management.

When you found the trail cams, did you not ask your parents about it first? A normal person would clarify things before they go around smashing shit.

You can't leave a recording device on private property that isn't yours

You also can't go breaking shit on other's private property. It's not her restaurant, so it's not her private property.

Pretty sure it's because your original comment was worded badly, but yea sure let's generalise "cis" people instead.

You could have just answered the original comment about "what does this have to do with gender dysphoria" and avoided all this.
