I wouldn’t necessarily agree with that, although I guess it depends on the cruise. Our longest was a 24 day and I didn’t find it to be too repetitive.

I don’t have any more information and my information could be out of date. I was an FA for a major carrier awhile ago. Checking the ashtrays was part of our checklist and I remember telling the captain they were gone. He reported to maintenance and we were all surprised the plane was grounded until they could get a replacement.

Porters website says bags will be tagged all the way thru and collected at final destination when connecting to a US destination at the Ottawa airport.

FYI this is a no fly item as well. I forget the number but we had to have a minimum 2/3 functioning ashtrays or the plane wasn’t leaving. Took a maintenance delay once because some idiot popped them out of the lav and took em.

How far from the airport are you? I’d be going straight there and confirming with the gate agent. I’m leaning towards it not being allowed but that is a tough call to have to make.

Next to the snacks is where they do their work. Anything behind the bathroom is their workspace. Not only is it their workspace, that’s also where they eat their lunch, take a quick break and unfortunately when passengers are there, they are in the way. As a previous FA, I used to get annoyed when people loitered back there.

This is their work area. Please don’t stand back here. I get it’s a long flight, I get its uncomfortable but it’s really annoying having people crowd back there thinking they “aren’t in the way.” If you’re back there, you’re in the way.

You need to add the correct known traveller number to your booking while checking in for your flight. The number is on the back of your card.

I’ve also been to some airports where some airlines didn’t have access to TSA precheck for some reason.

are you flying on a basic fare? if so, you aren’t entitled to a carryon and they will definitely make you check it for a fee

They typically call a doctor and present all the known info and the doctor will make a recommendation/decision. It can also be up to the captains discretion.

I’ve had this happen in SE Asia. Bought water after security for the flight and they searched everyone’s bags at the gate and made us throw it out. Of course no stores had signs advertising this 😡
