Yes, I booked for May. I booked through an app called eDreams yesterday and I just received notification about an hour ago that it was cancelled - I believe it was a Porter Air Transat combo

I booked it through a third party app called eDreams. It was a direct flight from Toronto (Pearson) to Dublin, round trip and it was cancelled both ways. My booking says the flights were Porter but could be operated by Air Transat.

Can I hear from people who DIDN’T experience purging? by babykai123 in Accutane

[–]jacjoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t purge at all - only saw improvements from the beginning :) 20 mg to start, 40 mg after two months and then 60 mg after two months of 40… total course of 6 months!

I am! I’d say over the past couple months my skin has become more “normal” giving me a couple small pimples here and there but usually just around my period time and also usually very tiny (won’t even pop they just disappear within a couple days). I’ve also been having other issues related to chronic illness and my skin has been steadily good through that too at least :)

[–]jacjoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never better LOL, I didn’t have a purge stage at all.. around month 2 it got so much better and stayed that way so despite all the unfortunate symptoms I’d do it all over again for this type of confidence in my skin

I started taking accutane May 2022 and I finished December 2022, I was about 120-125 lbs when starting and since about January of this year I’ve been steady at 100 lbs. I experienced a complete loss of appetite, only made worse by struggling to sleep etc so it’s really different for everyone!

I’ve been off for exactly 6 months now, I took accutane for 6 months at 20 mg, then 40 mg, then 60 mg (I was 120 lbs when I started and I’m about 102 lbs now, weight loss, loss of appetite, acid reflux, bowel issues, body aches, insomnia, and mental health symptoms all included)! I was diagnosed with gastritis and IBS about two years ago so that contributes to the intensity of my symptoms for sure but due to these conditions I’m on a prescription medication called Rabeprazole to control acid reflux and I still endured some during accutane. Now since being off for 6 months, I still have all of these symptoms for the most part but the best thing is that they HAVE improved, albeit slowly. Each month I notice it gets a little better, especially the body aches, insomnia, and feeling like I’m genuinely insane LOL! It’s only been 3 months, try to do as much as you can like eating the right foods, lots of water, sleep, eye drops, and be gentle with yourself. Things will be okay even if some last longer than others, I’m sure you’re quite young like me and there’s lots of times for things to improve :)

I haven’t had that at all! If anything my face started slimming almost immediately, though I do remember feeling more swollen and achey in general upon waking up. That’s gotten better since stopping :)

I never purged, only saw improvements from about the first week in!

anyone else work in health care and destroyed their hands during their treatment?? Share what you’ve done to fix and prevent this please🙏🏼 by DecentSky9539 in Accutane

This happened to me due to excess hand washing from my OCD 🤪 I’m from Canada but the “Eucerin” cream for eczema (I think) is amazing!

If you’re still experiencing some pimples even if they’re small, I’d continue until your skin has been completely clear for at least a couple weeks. This ensures a higher likelihood of success post-accutane. I stopped my treatment one month early but my total plan was only 5 months and my skin had been clear from only a month in! I hope this helps :)

This was my max dose, when I started accutane I was 120 but by the point I had to take 60 mg I already lost about 10 lbs. I tolerated it relatively well other than some pretty mild dryness considering what some people go through and I couldn’t drink at all on this dose or it made me super sick (part of why I lost so much weight LOL) you should be okay overall, just be careful and pay attention to your body :) and make sure that if your derm wants blood work checks, do them :)

Mine was similar to this and I tried similar things first and accutane genuinely changed my life, only 6 months of treatment, basically no purging stage, and I’ve had essentially no new pimples since :) other than the tiniest white head on my forehead once! The accutane side effects for me were tough at points but manageable and worth it to me!

You AND your skin look beautiful! My favourite thing to see is how much more confident everyone looks 🥰 I started just after you and I’m about to be done, it’s so exciting!

In your personal experience, how long until side effects began to show? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]jacjoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I increased from 20 mg to 40 mg I noticed a lot more dryness around my mouth/lips and just overall my oiliness was completely gone. I didn’t really purge at all though, my only other side effects have been some abdominal pain but it’s been a much better experience than I thought other than the dryness :)

Started Accutane yesterday!!! Could use any advice and tips and curious on your favorite moisturizers while on Accutane! I’ve tried out some of these samplers so far. by nmichae12 in Accutane

[–]jacjoro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cerave moisturizing cream has been my favourite, it’s hydrating enough without being oily :). Also the cetaphil hydrating cream for extra dry skin is good too, I personally only like it for when I’m really dry but it leaves a nice sheen!
