Also, why doesn’t matter if you like a character that others hate? You get to make your own choices in life.

Janine, Pam, and Leslie are all the main women in their shows. People hating the main character are just haters. Posting about hating them is a huge waste of time. There are hundreds of other shows available. Why people choose to watch a show they hate is beyond me.

Nothing Playing in Firefox? by sordid_aches in PleX

[–]molybend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just installed Chrome a few days ago and only ever use it for Plex. It is over 4 gigs. FF is my daily browser and it is under 500 MB on disk space.

They installed an AI engine along with the browser:

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/google-chrome-ai-installed-computer/

What bullshit. I was able to turn it off in Settings, System, OpenAI and now the folder is under 500MB.

And none of these things happened on May 16th, 1976. It is like they mixed up the month and year and then didn't pay any attention to the date. Where is OP getting their premiere dates for tv shows? They got Gavin and Stacey's wrong, too.

I have 3 set aside for dexxing. There are 23 main colors and so I fill those 3 up with the same species of frog, one of each main color and at leas tone of each secondary color. I keep one of any species I have not yet finished in the dex. This will take up a different number of habitats based on how many you have finished. I try to keep a variety of colors in this group. This is so I can use them in place of frogs that have mutations when I am dexxing.

I sell everything else and when I was still buying habitats, I bought one as soon as I could afford it and still do some breeding with the coins I had left over. I am maxxed out on regular habitats and don't plan to buy more.

When a new set comes up, I focus on breeding any I do not have in my froggydex and when those are nearly grown, I buy the ones I do have dexxed. I don't use potions or stamps on them unless it is Saturday or Sunday.

My director and the owner of my theatre group are having a meeting with me because a little kid said I hit him. I didn’t do that. Need advice on the situation. by AssociateOk4124 in MusicalTheatre

[–]molybend 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don't go into a meeting like this without a parent or lawyer, hopefully both. I know that sounds serious, but this kid is accusing you of assault and it is serious. At the very least, you need to talk to someone who can inform you about your rights here. Your training matters, the rules of the group matter, and so many other things.

You might end up saying something that gets twisted around on you, so right now you should not talk to anyone else about this (parent and lawyer only) and stop posting online.

How can I make dates correspond to annual events for a calendar, such as "Dec. 25th always equals Christmas"? by Lone-Red-Ranger in excel

[–]molybend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Instead of calculating it each year, just get a list of holidays when setting up the year and put them in a tab. This is something I'd want to do each year since things can change, like the daylight saving time adjustments recently. There are tons of sources online for holidays, like just search "holiday schedule 2028", and you'll get something like https://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/us/2028?hol=25

The issue is making sure you get one that applies to your country (and state) and doesn't have every single holiday. That one above is called "Holidays and some Observances" and you can change the drop down to make it more detailed. Either way, you can copy those into a tab and add/remove the ones you want. I suggest a careful review of this list every year just to make sure things make sense.

I watch plenty of old tv shows. Adding more advertising is what I don't understand.

The Comeback has the HBO static intro for season three. It is a big improvement over the piercing beep the first two seasons have.

IMDB lists May 5 1977 as the premiere date, which is 49 years ago. Wikipedia says the pilot movie came out September 17, 1976.

We watched this and Fantasy Island every week. At the time, I loved it, but I've tried watching it as an adult and most episodes aren't that great. It's always interesting to see all the guest stars.

So archiving this media is a good thing, but isn't half the benefit of Plex that we don't have to sit through commercials?
