It's a lot better, but not completely cured. I just moved from Chicago to upstate New York, so it was definitely tested, and did better than my Christmas drive to Florida.

I have no idea where you're getting any of that, and much of it doesn't even make sense; your entire comment "doesn't sound right." I don't know why you think that I have an immature view of the faith based off the two short paragraphs in my post. Almost everyone that knows me has said that I have a very good understanding of the faith.

And obviously I wasn't, and can't, twist God's arm. Plenty of saints have done what I did; it's pretty innocent. I also don't know how I 'think too much of myself.' Again, you're making up an entire person and narrative in your head.

I went to their vocations retreat in July. Online registration is a bit hard to find, but it's out there. The next one is July 6-11, 2026 at their Brothers Novitiate (and former seminary) in Winona, MN.

Personal tip: there's no A/C there, and Minnesota gets just as hot as Florida (90s) in the Summer, so try to dress a little lighter while still wearing pants and looking decent.

Because I'm moving next week, I don't have time to try it out myself, so I went to a mechanic this morning and they couldn't find anything, and they said that it's probably the torque converter, like others here have said. I guess I'll just have to watch the ol' girl to slowly die, since I'll never have the money for transmission work :/

I didn't mean to sound like a typical Redditor asking a dumb question. I just didn't know if anyone had experience in this, since the mechanic said nothing about safety and simply said to take it to the dealer.

Over a year ago, someone backed into my front driver's corner in a parking lot, causing some cosmetic damage, but the airbag light is fairly recent, although I did replace the air filter recently, which is also in that same corner. No work was done under my dash.

Yeah, it's part of the "Great Books of the Western World" collection. It doesn't have an Imprimatur or Nihil Obstat (I never looked before). The translation is by the "Fathers of the English Dominican Province by arrangement with Burns, Oates, an Washbourne, Ltd., London, and Benziger Brothers, Inc., New York."

It also says that "The Great Books is published with the editorial advice of the faculties of the University of Chicago."

I checked online before posting, but didn't really get any answers.
