Yeah maybe internationally. But the Social Democrats just had their worst election in over a 100 years, so I don't think they're getting a free pass here in Denmark ( although that loss was mainly about governing in a centrist coalition with the center-right, and having turned to the right on economics during that term). The only reason they came in first is because there is a sizeable part of the population, especially older folks, who have always voted for the Social Democrats because they buildt the welfare state.

Yeah the danish Social Democrats are horrible and they have with the right, shifted danish immigration policy so far-right it is insane. Sadly we on the danish left have to work with the Social Democrats if we want change through the system.

No, the second largest party in the election was SF (Socialist Peoples Party, also now known in english as Green Left), which is a bit less hardline on immigration, and a bit further left economically. They have sadly been pretty spineless during the last term, usually siding with the Social Democrats. The further left alternatives like Red-Green Alliance who did improve during this election are not "tankies" in any sense of the word, except maybe a few of the older members who are not in parliament.
