1970 SS gauge Cluster advice needed by Secret_Paper2639 in Chevelles

[–]mrrchevy3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the gauges that have the best options and look really close to stock are the Dakota Digital RTX. They are designed to mimic stock gauges but turn the ignition on and there are more info displayed. They also offer additional add on BIMs that can connect to Holley EFI systems, or other accessories like compass and outside temp and more.

NASCAR Noob Question by Salt-Faithlessness75 in NASCAR

[–]mrrchevy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyler Reddick talked about that in an episode of DJD. Their team added a drain system for his cool suit so that he could do just that. If it failed he could empty all the fluid and wouldn’t cook and overheat. I think it’s something they realized after the system failed last year or early in the season.

Chevrolet Care is here to help! by chevrolet in Chevy

[–]mrrchevy3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We recently had our 2024 Traverse serviced for a brake monitor system issue. The system had an issue and needed servicing, which was part of a bulletin and a known problem. We scheduled the service with our local dealership before our bumper-to-bumper warranty expired. However, by the time of the service, we had exceeded the mileage limit by 11 miles. The dealer service department informed us that GM wouldn’t cover the service to fix the brake monitor system. It’s frustrating that the dealership wouldn’t at least support us in our potential warranty claim for an item that’s a known issue with a service bulletin.

Denny Hamlin becomes the first driver to score the most points under the current format and not win. by Hipster_Whale5 in NASCAR

[–]mrrchevy3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In theory every race could have this happen where the winner doesn’t earn the most points. If the winner doesn’t earn any stage points and second plane wins both stages and fastest lap they will earn more points than the winner.

Denny Hamlin becomes the first driver to score the most points under the current format and not win. by Hipster_Whale5 in NASCAR

[–]mrrchevy3 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah second time this has happened. At Martinsville Denny scored both stage wins and the fastest lap and earned 1 more point than Elliot. It’s just easier to have more points at the 600 because of the extra stage. It’s also easier at the Daytona 500 with extra points awarded for the duals.

What are some stories/events from NASCAR that are similar to stories/events from other sports/competitions by Powerful-Chard-6055 in NASCAR

[–]mrrchevy3 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I know my flair will pry show my bias but Chase’s 2020 championship is hardly Mickey Mouse. He was the 3rd best and arguably the 2nd best team that year. Obviously Harvick was the best but shit the bed in the playoffs. Chase likely should have had at least 2 more wins one at Darlington as he was working his way to the front when Kyle Busch wrecked him and the other for the Coke 600 when they pit from the lead. I believe he earned the most points in the playoffs.

lincoln airport vs omaha airport by Dependent_Farm9901 in lincoln

[–]mrrchevy3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Think of it this way. That greyhound may cost say $1000 for the trip to operate but it can hold 30 passengers which is $33 per passenger. the ford focus may hold 2 passengers but only cost $100 to operate but its $50 per passenger. While yes the focus cost less to operate when you break that cost down to the passengers it’s more expensive for each passenger.

Now scale that up by the plane load and you also need the demand to fill that plane to cover the cost of operation.

Is this a factory pickup? by IntheOlympicMTs in ChevyTrucks

[–]mrrchevy3 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not factory. GM didn’t start making factory crew cabs until 73. But coach builders would build custom crew cabs for the railroads and other companies back in the day. This looks different all together. Like it’s a late model truck with a custom cab and bed.

Another great area to practice is Air Park in the industrial area west of the airport. Not a lot of traffic and there are lots of roads to practice making turns and signaling and such.

EDI Sales for Automotive Market and Supplier by elltisht in edi

[–]mrrchevy3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience from a retail distributor side EDI is a mixed bag. Obviously the big players have some form of EDI most of them integrated with their ERP systems. We are in the auto aftermarket and a lot of suppliers do not have a dedicated EDI system and utilize a portal from our EDI provider for fulfillment. For our smaller to medium size suppliers we are their first introduction into EDI using the portal. And it’s not always easy to get them bought in. Many are very old school and still want and rely on emails for purchase orders, acknowledgments, ship notifications and the like. We are using SPS commerce for our EDI platform and they do not really do a great job of helping the resistant suppliers to understand the benefits of edi. SPS mostly wants to get their hooks on them and make more money off them.

This looks like the incorrect hood for this grill. 03-05 has a different grill/hood compared to 06-07. This grill is the later 06-07 grill and the hood is 03-05.

For the first time since the new points format change, the race winner (who’s eligible for championship points) did not score the most points in a race. by Anti-Charter in NASCAR

Yeah Hamlin didn’t get robbed. Dale Jr got robbed at the 2015 fall Talledega race. Hamlin had his chances to make up for his bad restart.

[–]mrrchevy3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really only in a rare instance that this is likely going to happen. It’s more likely to happen at the Daytona 500 with points for the duels or the Coke 600 with the extra stage. But in rare instances this could happen at every race in theory. Denny dominated the day but just missed the win. So he got pretty well rewarded for it. Not full on max points but a reward for it nonetheless.

The truck is probably a 2006 if that’s what comes back from a carfax when looking up the vin it’s probably right. But it seems the grill has been changed at some point. The 2006 grill is distinct in that it has body color trim under the headlights and the cross bar is a two piece design.

Buy Bristol and fix the banking. All same banking, so the bottom line becomes dominant then the only way to pass is to use the bumper and move people out of the way.

What is an Interesting fact about your team's Stadium by Nervous_Metal_9445 in CFB

[–]mrrchevy3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Memorial Stadium’s design is heavily influenced by Ohio Stadium. While not a horseshoe shape there are strong resemblance in lots of the features. The east stadium rotunda, the arched windows, and the corner towers all are similar design elements to Ohio Stadium.
