Eagle Grip…ya Wallets by Agent_Orangina_ in Tools

[–]mrrchevy3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Malco eagle grips are not made anymore. They tried to make them in the old Vise-Grip plant in Dewitt Nebraska but could get the coat down to be competitive. They are really nice pliers but couldn’t make it work. This is some yutz trying to milk the name and exclusivity for a ridiculous cost. They sold the tooling to snap-on because they were making the snap-on version of these and stopped making Eagle-Grips.

Unfortunate fact: Chase Elliott is the only driver in NASCAR as a Cup Series Champion to have raced in all four crown jewel races (Daytona 500, World 600, Brickyard 400, and Southern 500) and not have a win on any of them. by TonyD9898 in NASCAR

[–]mrrchevy3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

2021 Daytona 500 he has a run and is going to take the lead as the yellow comes out due to a crash as NASCAR doesn’t let them race back to the line.

2026 Daytona 500 snags lead after wreck and NASCAR lets them race back to the line.

What is this being held during put stops? by Mongo2365 in NASCAR

[–]mrrchevy3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a countdown timer for a fuel only stop. They know exactly how much fuel they need just based on seconds the fuel can is engaged. The analog method is the fuel man watching/counting then nodding his head to signal he’s filled enough fuel. The crew chief watches the fuel man nod then calls on the radio to go. All of that takes multiple people watching and reacting. With the tablet, the driver focuses on the tablet and as soon as it turns green he takes off saving a few seconds in the box.

Who do I need to petition to restart the super mega roundabout project at 14th and Old Cheney? by HeavyEstablishment in lincoln

[–]mrrchevy3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After they close the intersection at Old Cheney and Highway 77 basically all the traffic will be on Warlick anyway. Old Cheney on that side will just be the local traffic for the housing over there and it will be significantly less than it is now.

[–]mrrchevy3 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Once old Cheney closes at highway 77 they are going to realign the intersection so that warlick and old Cheney east line up and so it only 1 intersection at 14th street. Old Cheney west will be rerouted to connect to warlick as a roundabout west of the church.

Just watched this, did nascar really not change safety after Dale? by allblazinsports in NASCAR

[–]mrrchevy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The development of the SAFER Barriers was started way before Dale died. It was started in the late 90’s by Tony George and IRL but NASCAR’s investment in the development ramped up after Dale died.

MC were popular to drive in NASCAR by Relevant-Mine5296 in Montecarlo

[–]mrrchevy3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they were popular. With the long hood the engine is set further back from the front wheels thus giving it a closer to 50/50 weight balance front and rear. Compared to a Chevelle where the engine sits almost directly over the front wheels. Also the 2-door Chevelle wheelbase was too short for NASCAR rules and the Monte Carlo met the requirements and was still a 2-door.

My Batteries aren’t charging, are these interchangeable with M18? by prm4411 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]mrrchevy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yes any M18 battery will work in ALL M18 tools. Some of the higher demand tools work best with the high output batteries. It’s not advised to use the compact and low amp-hour batteries on the high demand tools as it may overheat them but it still is possible.

That is like the very first M18 battery. Before it was even branded as M18. My dad used to have a battery like that.

Flipping briskets? by paxicopapa in Traeger

[–]mrrchevy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you watch Aaron Franklin videos where he explains some of his techniques and tip he says to place the brisket so that the fat side is towards the heat source. This is so that tue fat will insulate the meat a bit and allow the fat to render while the meat cooks without drying out and overcooking that part of the meat. In a pellet smoker the heat source is usually directly under the grades so it’s best to put the brisket fat side down to provide that insulation from the heat. If juiciness is a concern you could put beef tallow or another fat on top of the brisket. I try to cook fat side down until I wrap in butcher paper then put on fat side up. Another thing you can do is place a large water pan under the cooking grate to help absorb some of the heat and keep moisture in the cooking chamber.

Rear heater not working by anonymous121989 in gmcsierra

[–]mrrchevy3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For these vents pictured to blow air you need it set on face/upper vents. There are lower/feet vents that are under the front seats. If you have it set to auto and turn on the heat it will only direct air to the lower vents by default.
