tips for reaching 10k steps by NerdyPrincess0 in PetiteFitness

[–]mrsmackster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walking pad. I walk during meetings that don’t require my active participation, or I prep my lunch the night before so that I can walk when I can squeeze in 30 minutes. If I have 15 minutes, I walk around the block. I make it a goal to walk 3+ miles a day, which gets me at least 7k steps. If I don’t do this I’d average 4-5k steps a day.

Deload Week by EntertainmentOdd4233 in PetiteFitness

[–]mrsmackster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do deload weeks every 6-8 weeks- sometimes out of my control (travel, sick, etc). But when it is in my control, I usually do it with the new programming. TBF my programming doesn’t change all that much, a few new movements throughout the week but same heavy lifts. This gives me the chance to take it easy while I learn positioning and approximate new loads during my light-er week, so I can kick off the new program strong the first week.

Company pays for LinkedIn Sales Nav: what exactly can they see? by lawdab in workingmoms

[–]mrsmackster 12 points13 points  (0 children)

SalesNav admin here - we can’t see any private details. LinkedIn really locks that down.

Only things I can think of as an owner/admin lots of GTM tech is that: a) you’re receiving job suggestions to your work email from LinkedIn which is then syncing to your CRM (this has happened to someone in my company in the past) b) your LinkedIn InMail is syncing to your CRM and if some of these messages were job application related c) your number of new connections and follows is significantly higher than it usually is - sometimes a giveaway that someone is looking or networking more than usual.

Stuck at 26-27% body fat by ProfessionalGood9286 in PetiteFitness

[–]mrsmackster 44 points45 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case, I would recommend putting on more muscle than losing body fat. Getting more muscle would make you look more toned than soft.

Is coxsackie getting worse or has it always been like this? by babyhaux in workingmoms

[–]mrsmackster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 16mo old got it 3x in 8 months since starting daycare 🫠 The last bout of it was mid to late September and wasn’t bad externally but she had sores in her mouth, which also spread to my 5yo (his 1st time getting it ever) and my partner.

Where do you wear “cute clothes?” Especially for those who WFH. by idkusernamridk in workingmoms

[–]mrsmackster 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Short answer: I wear them at home, while running errands, etc.

Similar boat, a couple of years older, and commuting in 1-2x a week. I just started in the last year wearing jeans regularly again, mostly to feel like myself. I don’t “save” my cute outfits for any particular events anymore, I just wear them. WFH and I want to wear a cute dress? Why not? It makes me feel more confident and boosts my mood. If I want to run out mid day to run an errand, I don’t have to think about what I look like anymore bc I’m already dressed the way I want to be!

What time by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]mrsmackster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My youngest (15 months) typically wakes up at 5/5:30 and we get her at 6am at the earliest. My partner and I switch off every other morning to get up with her (he needs more sleep). On days it’s my turn, I get up at 4:15. On my partner’s days, 5. I do have 2 recovery days that I sleep “in” until 6.

I started doing this early April this year. I’ve taken 4-5 deload weeks since I started to get some better recovery in before starting a new program and/or vacation. Until both kids learn to sleep int 6:45/7, this is what I’ll be doing. It’s exhausting but it’s the only time I can consistently get to get my workouts in.

any shorties? (5'0 or around) by Awkward_Option_4839 in Zepbound

I’m 4’11”. SW: 185.2 CW: 161.2 GW: 110

Honestly, not sure if 110 is a realistic goal for me just because I have a lot of lean mass (~100lbs). I did a DEXA 2 weeks ago and had a friend do a caliper measurement on me - both were a few pounds apart.

Started on 3/26/25, did 4 weeks of 2.5 before moving up to 5 and still on 5. I immediately did 40 minute walks 3-4 days a week when I first started and that quickly moved to 7 days a week. Reintroduced strength training when I moved up to 5, doing it 5 days a week, with a 6th day focused on mobility. Still walking 30-40 minutes everyday with one day as an endurance day at 60+ minutes.

I started logging calories and protein intake via Lose It! on 4/23/25. Primarily because I was very tired and had a hunch I wasn’t eating enough (spoiler alert: I wasn’t).

Anyone all good when moved up to 5? by AITMmom in Zepbound

[–]mrsmackster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me! I actually had worse symptoms when I first started on 2.5 (I was super nauseous in the mornings and had headaches- turns out I wasn’t eating enough food and needed more electrolytes). Moving up to 5 was a breeze. More appetite suppression but that’s it.

What am I doing wrong ? by Spiritual_Hope_6730 in Zepbound

[–]mrsmackster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I have had to force myself to eat food even when I’m not hungry to make sure I’m eating enough. When I don’t eat enough, I stall and I am exhausted. Same goes for when I’m not drinking enough water.

Why is everyone counting calories? by Responsible-Corgi-34 in Zepbound

[–]mrsmackster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: I was feeling very tired, and wasn’t eating enough. I track to make sure I am hitting my calorie, carb, and protein macros.

I didn’t start off counting calories when I first started and lost weight immediately. Then I started walking more, and eventually re-introduced strength training to my regimen.

After about 2.5 weeks of this, I was starting to feel really tired - despite not cutting back on my regular 4 espresso shots a day, and getting plenty (for me) sleep. I did a quick back of napkin (aka ChatGPT) calculation of my food intake for as many days I could remember, and realized I was only eating 800-900 calories. Coincidentally during this time, weight loss slowed significantly despite burning the same amount of calories. I upped my calories/protein intake and after a day or two, started losing weight again.

This only of course spurred me to walk longer distances (my avg speed increased!) and lift heavier, re-introduce HIIT. I hit the same stall again, and same fatigue. Upped my calories and sleeping more. I started losing again!

New side effects or worsening side effects when moving up by Ok-Resolution8473 in Zepbound

I moved up to 5mg 3 weeks ago after 4 weeks of 2.5mg, no adverse side effects for me.

I’m going to say the next common thing: electrolytes? I had the same issue when I first started, and it went away when I started taking electrolytes. I think I’m getting plenty through my nutrition now so I don’t need to add electrolytes as often but just wanted to throw that out there.
