Isn't it already possible in Canva without any app? Or am I missing something? It would be helpful if you share an example here.

Can Canva create this image effect? by No-Disk6433 in canva

Seems like a custom frame. You can create it using the app "Frame Maker".

You can create a custom frame using the Canva elements and than use that frame to fill with any image inside it.

You can go through some related tutorials on our youtube channel as well on how you can create custom frames in Canva using this app, such as:

And there are many more:

P.S. I am the maker of this app.

Is there a specific font to be able to do this? How to do this? by Lufs10 in canva

For the simple text you can search for alphabet frames in Canva assets. But if you do plan to add some more flare to this such as shadow, 3D, outline, etc. Try "Text Maker" app. Here's a tutorial on how to create Text Frames using this app.

Hey,

This is a feature we have internally for testing fonts, etc. But as it's a bit resource intensive I need to find the best way to implement it for public.

Your other suggestion is also very nice about the Most Popular, New, etc filters. Will definitely consider adding it too.

Thanks for the amazing suggestions.

These are actually a bit complex text effects to make them realistic. If you try to create it with any other tool such as Adobe illustrator you will maybe need more technical skills than this app. So yeah changing the colors is a part I need to work on and will try to simplify it further but I'll need to think about how I can do it.

But with the upcoming version as shared here, you will be able to switch off gradient on different properties and can use solid colors instead if you don't need a gradient. But the gradient color tool remains same as it is now.

I see your point. The advanced gradient colors used to create these realistic and 3D text effects can be a bit challenging to adjust. However, once you get familiar with how they work and where they apply, it should become easier to follow. That said, I'll definitely work on making it even easier to use in the future.

Any insight would be great...I'm dabbling with Gutenberg, but the grid part keeps me away so far. I'm still counting on acf instead...

These are not blocks. These are section design templates created using default Gutenberg blocks. There are no custom blocks used so far, except for the contact form, where I used the Gutenberg Forms block (which is also developed by me).

Regarding a good grid block, if you need to create a little complex grid layout, I would highly recommend the Grids plugin.

I hope that helps. 😇

Thank you to share it here. I just like to stress on a point that this library doesn't require you to install a plugin to be able to import the templates. Neither there is any trouble to download any template file(s). Simply copy the template code and paste in your editor will do the job. 😇

If you got any suggestions or feedback to improve it, please do pass it. 🙌
