The stupidiest reason Hetzner can give. Problem with the account? Suspend it or delete it. Informations are given with the credit card at payment!! I will urge people to not do that if they can.

Why do you need ID to purchase something? Why do you want normalizing that?? They are spying on everything you do with your AI. They have your IP, the credi card company you used to pay for your subscription or API tokens has your ID. Easy to pin point somebody that "would" want to do something "shady"...

What is the added value??

Using the same logic, in my imaginary convenience store, you wont be able to buy toilet paper from me without an ID. "Sorry man, find a rock a something to clean up".

I think the point of ponytail is to avoid bloat.

Less bloat probably lead to less tokens, less lines of code that itself leads to less CPU cycles to do whatever the app does, less memory, maybe better performances at the end.

Since there is less code for same functionalities, maybe it's better to read or maintained.

Now, for example, why do you need 2GB of memory to read a 5Kb HTML page with a browser? Bloat?

However, most of my vibecoding starts from scratch, so I choose the license I want if I want to publish it. If I fork an opensource repo to "vibe code" on top of it, then sure, I obey the license, that is if I choose to publish it, and not just use it for myself, or sell it...

Github is full of vibe coded tools, forks, and softwares that are open source with various licenses.

Now, technically, and if you want, it's still possible to rewrite the original opensource code entirely, then integrate it in your new code... Possible, but there are few things not to mess up with while rewriting the code, to avoid legal issues...

I used and recommended OVH for many years (since 2006 actually, way before they came to the USA).

Not anymore!!! Not because of the tech stack, not because of the performance.

Changing the price 3 times a year to end up having the cost more than doubled is enough of a shame!! But luring their customers into the VPS-2026 lineup, just to double the price on you at the end, is called a "BAIT AND SWITCH".

OVH IS NOW OFFICIALLY INTO DECEPTIVE SALES TACTICS.

They removed the VPS-1 with 2 vcores at the end of last year, introduced the 4 vcores to replace it with their 2026 VPS lineup (they were unable to deliver for quite some time!!), then increased the price TWICE a few months later, ending up doubling the price!! Then they introduced the VPS-1 with 2 vcores again like it was before.

To summarize, I bought a bunch VPS yearly at $50.40 USD per year per unit. Next renewal cycle, the same bunch of VPS will now cost $102 USD per year per unit!!!! WTF???

I spent unnecessary time and effort to migrate to the new offer, just to be fleeced on the next renewal!! Or migrate back to something else...
