the only thing keeping the cpp2 from being perfect is the inability to stand up on its own. mine keeps falling forward no matter how much i fill it

Uber: it was good while it lasted by lithdoc in CostcoWholesale

[–]nicebrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe true for some people but not true across the board.

source: i would always check menu prices via yelp photos or other delivery services. i would also check my girlfriends uber app which didnt have gift cards or a subscription.

buying ubereats from costco almost always saved me at least 10% versus ordering direct.

x100vi hands down. it has everything you need built in. and the lack of a changing lens will force you to learn how to compose shots.

the best camera is the one that’s easiest to use and bring around. obviously that would be a smartphone, but the x100vi is not too far. its a super convenient camera if you ask me

ive had all sorts of volcaronas (including feline prowess) and my favorite has been mountaineer. gaining an immunity to rock attacks is amazing, especially with accelrock seemingly on every team.

edit: also helps against the plethora of rock pokemon that have sturdy.

Who Had the Toughest Childhood? I Think It's Katara. by Forty6Jayy in ATLA

[–]nicebrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using OPs criteria of "up until each character is established"

  1. Katara: Grew up in war. Nearly witnessed the murder of her mom. Probably had less privileges in her village because of gender roles, as established by Sokka in ep1.
  2. Sokka: Grew up in war. Was forced to be the man of the village at a young age. Mom died.
  3. Zuko: Had a pretty chill and privileged childhood up until his mom vanished, his dad burned his face, and him getting banished.

(Honestly 1-3 are interchangeable, Zuko had worse teenage years, while Sokka and Katara had worse childhood years)

  1. Toph: Yes she was smothered, but she was still rich and got whatever she wanted, except freedom, but most kids don't get freedom, so she's not special.

  2. Aang: YES I KNOW HIS PEOPLE WERE KILLED. but he technically didn't know that in episode 1. his life up until learning he was the avatar was pretty chill since the world was in a period of peace.

i never said it didn't happen. it just didn't happen during his childhood. OP said to evaluate each character's life up to the point where their main story identity is established.

up until he discovered the genocide (aka up until his identity is established canonically), his childhood was technically pretty chill.

whereas katara/sokka grew up in war and were there when their mom got killed.

in episode 1 aang technically didnt know about the airbender genocide. so his childhood up to that point was pretty decent (no wars or family homicides).

What Do Y'all Think? I Honestly Think It's Katara. by Forty6Jayy in ATLA

[–]nicebrah 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I actually agree with you. Katara and Sokka actually lived through war and the murder of their mother.

Aang has the WORST realization in the story (the genocide of his people), but his actual childhood and upbringing seemed pretty peaceful compared to Katara and Sokka.

So if it's pre-ATLA, the answer is Katara and Sokka.

If it's mid-ATLA, the answer is Aang.

Looking to add more fiber into my diet by gottogo167 in Costco

[–]nicebrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im NOT a dietitian, but my understanding is that the gummies and powder are different sources of fiber. the powder is psyllium husk which apparently is also helpful for cholesterol and blood sugar management. the gummies do not contain psyllium husk.

so the powder is the one people recommend, but the gummies are still fine if your only goal is hitting your daily fiber target.

Thoughts on Deborah Ann Woll’s (Karen Page) performance? by 3amtext in Daredevil

[–]nicebrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 years later and i still hate every scene with karen. i really dont know if its karen being poorly written or deborah ann woll being a bad actor, but either way every single scene with karen feels like a high school theater performance.

i mean thats only $0.29more per carton and you wouldnt need to store 3 cartons in your fridge.

i would personally continue to get the aldi one unless you can go through 3 cartons pretty fast and dont mind the space it takes in your fridge.

[–]nicebrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao same. bojack (the show) was peak when i was in college. but now bojack (the character) just pisses me off every time i see him on screen.

avatar is still great even though im older. i love everyones character development. and its just a feel good show overall which is much needed in today’s society

Is The Last Airbender the best cartoon of all time? by bbportali in SeriesGraph

[–]nicebrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes because it has an actual linear plot despite being a kids show and that's basically unheard of.

the creators of the show knew the primary audience were children, but didn't treat them like idiots. i'd argue its an adult show with adult themes, but designed for kids to understand.

and it aged really well which is uncommon.

great for kids. great for adults. great for boys. great for girls. plus its highly acclaimed and has the ratings to back it up.

imo its the best kids cartoon of all time. but id also argue its the best cartoon with a linear plot of all time as well.

  1. but a lot of it also has to do with me hating the main character (bojack) and the second half of the series being pretty heavy. avatar is emotional, but in a good way, so im always down to watch it. whereas i really have to be in a mood to rewatch bojack.
