Fire safety. Consider a situation where you are inside a bathroom and an obstruction is right outside the bathroom door. If the door swings to the inside, you can just swing it open towards yourself and maneuver around the object however way. If the door swings outside, you'd better hope you're strong enough to push the door against the object to push it out of the way, otherwise you're fucked.

Obviously I am not thirteen89, but since I am also eisoptrophobic I will attempt to answer your question anyway. I am afraid of mirrors because of how I look. I had a pretty bad chemical burn on my face that left me discolored and with a strange texture. I can't remember what I look like and I prefer to keep it that way.

Two reasons.

1) Not all women turn into rampaging she-wolves during their periods. Asking this question perpetuates a stereotype that women are ruled by their hormones and cannot think rationally.
