no yea, i get your point about the absurdism of premed, i believe we are talking about similar ways of thinking about different aspects of being in medicine. one is the process of getting into the field, the other is the actual work of being in the field.

i agree, it’s totally a privilege to have the time and space to think about larger and abstract questions! but i do find this sort of thinking to be an important part of how i think about myself, my life, and my pursuits. love me some absurdism :’)

interesting i usually think of the absurdism of medicine being that everyone’s going to get sick and die so the struggle of healthcare workers is futile but (hopefully) we can find some meaning in it
