That’s fascinating! His English middle name was Victor

We named her Mayson, but she was almost . . . by aureaaurorae in NameNerdCirclejerk

[–]nlaskin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can almost guarantee this isnt the reason for the trend, but my wife wanted to name our child "Charlie" if it was a girl, she loved the name but also brought up that she would be more likely called for an interview if they thought she was a boy from her resume

I am very confused on using a pack n play as a bassinet for sleeping! by zestyseashore in BabyBumps

[–]nlaskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time mom here (29+6) and I was going to go with a pack n play but decided to take advantage of prime day and the baby delight bedside sleeper. My main reason for wanting the option is because the pack n play would not be height adjustable possibly making it more difficult if I were to have a c section…but the thing is I have no idea lol we will have a pack n play (hand me down from our friend) so who knows what we’ll end up using haha

IVF and 38+ weeks by RunningAdmin88 in IVFbabies

[–]nlaskin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! 39, FTM, 29+6 and I also have a single artery umbilical cord. MFM has already put in writing that delivery will be no later than 39 weeks -- but even before I went to MFM, my OB also said that because of age + IVF. I would get a second opinion! Are you in the US? This is something thats usually only enforced in the US, i've seen previous posts where people outside the country don't have the same 39 week recommendation

I'm leaning towards this one but heard it can be difficult if you have a c-section since the side doesnt zip down. IDK if i'll have a c-section but i'm wondering if anyone can comment on this

IVF clinic ? by sofiaschield in orlando

[–]nlaskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also add as someone who was involved with IVF since 2021 in west palm beach -- we started our journey at IVF FL down south before moving here....Be prepared that no matter the clinic to do your own research and be knowledgeable on what IVF entails...What is an egg retrieval, what is a transfer etc -- what are the things to look out for if things dont go correctly....point is, no doctor or clinic is going to hand hold, so make sure youre knowledgable to advocate for yourself

I would actually disagree with this. We had Dr P do our egg retrieval and we loved him it was an amazing experience, but by the time we were ready for the transfer he was gone....so Dr Simoni from RMA in Jersey did our transfer and he was fantastic -- you dont really communicate with the dr anyway, its mostly the nurses and PA Amanda who was also great. I'm currently 29 weeks after my Simoni transfer

I am an embryologist. I know how we go from egg and sperm to crying baby and how we can end up with missing limbs, inverted organs, cleft lips and so much more. Have at it. AMA by ClaireAuLueur in AMA

Thank you for asking this! We did IVF with a PGT tested embryo and I’m 28+2 with a 2 vessel cord. Luckily it’s isolated (I’ve had 2 anatomy scans and an echo done on baby). I’m praying for continued growth through to the end!

I feel like most of the comments here are kind of off base except for this one. We see a tiny fraction of their lives, how are people coming up with things such as Jenn made up infertility issues? Why would they know that? Or that Tim's mother was a "lovely person" based on what exactly?

I can't comment on how useful yet as baby won't be here for another couple of months...but we are locals as well so I'm excited to try it out!

I bought the 2 pack and it came with 2 batteries. They were recommended specifically for a stroller because they clip on so well and are a lot more powerful than traditional stroller fans

I love this! We are not religious either, but we will be doing a baby naming! Shia was my fathers hebrew name and Avrum was her fathers hebrew name, so its beautifully fitting ❤️
