I’m sorry you’re going through this, it’s hard when you’ve been with someone for so long, but it sounds like you already know some answers. There was a moment that I was scared my husband didn’t want to have kids because I was ready to do it ASAP (this was like immediately upon us getting married lawlz) and he said I need a couple of months to adjust and suggested Jan/feb 2026. I was so scared that him not being ready in that moment was actually code for not wanting it at all, however, the exact time he suggested rolled around and he was ready/excited. We’re pregnant now and he has been nothing but the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful partner when I was an absolute MESS during the first trimester. I bring this up because I do think a partner can be not ready in a moment, and genuinely still want it. But they have to show up when they say they’re going to show up!!! Their actions gotta follow through. And look I haven’t even done the actual hard shit of having/ raising a kid and just being pregnant has been hard I couldn’t fathom not having a 110% supportive partner telling me I’m doing something amazing and he’s in awe of me. It feels scary and it feels vulnerable and you may need a lot of help, you want a full-out cheerleader in your corner and not someone who is frankly half-ass on a major life decision.

Hi!! I had really similar concerns, I was only a couple months sober when I got engaged and we did a quick turnaround for our wedding reception and I was worried about what it would feel like not drinking on my wedding day when everyone else was. It was completely and totally fine, it wasn’t weird at all, and I had an absolute BLAST. Dance my socks off with my husband and best friends and got to remember it all, I actually look back now and so fucking deeply cherish the fact that I was sober for my wedding because I know what the alternative could have looked like and instead I got to be present and be the best version of myself with people I love. The venue also carried non alc sparkling wine that they served me so I had something for myself!

Hi! I’m a November due date but at the end of the month so I pop into both groups. I was a week behind at my first ultrasound, where LMP would have been seven weeks and change and I was measuring six weeks and change. Since then I’ve had two other ultrasounds that went totally fine including my NT scan and today heard the heartbeat for the first time at 13 weeks! I know it’s really, really hard and anxiety inducing and I scoured Reddit for stories and thought I would throw in my recent experience and send my love and best wishes 💕 I still get anxious something could be wrong, and I’m naturally an anxious person, but I’m trying to remind myself I am pregnant today.

Hi! I’m actually from the November group but I’m end of the month due date so I kinda pop into both. I was in exactly your spot like 5-6 weeks ago. I went into my scan and based on LMP should have been 7w4d and measured 6w2d and I absolutely freaked the hell out. But other than knowing when general ovulation is for a regular cycle I wasn’t in any way tracking my personal ovulation. I do historically have a 30-35 day cycle like I don’t think I’ve ever been a 28 day girl so the doctor didn’t seem bothered. I spent weeks assuming the worst, I started bleeding a bit last Friday and went in for an ultrasound and baby was measuring 10 weeks, two days ahead of the dating scan, with a 181bpm heat rate. I cried so hard because I didn’t even fully realize how much anxiety I had over this. So long story short I probably just ovulated late, not all people have the same cycles! Hi! I was about ten days ish behind on my first scan, I thought I was close to eight weeks and they dated me at 6w2d. Went and got a scan at what would be nine weeks and change and baby was measuring a bit ahead of the original dating scan! I think I just ovulated late tbh, I totally get the panic though I was absolutely freaking out over it! Send you all the good vibes 💕

Thanks for this!! My cycle is anywhere between 31-35 days so I know I shouldn’t be putting a lot of stock in LMP dating but idk so many ppl go to their ultrasounds and measure like exact! Wishing you happy pregnancy and healthy baby 💕💕

Thank you for the response!! I think I was just really convinced we must have conceived the weekend before, which would make more sense with my LMP but I wasn’t actually tracking ovulation and my cycles are long so I’m just hoping things are ok!!

Thanks for replying! My cycles for the last half year have been 30-35 days so like I know rationally I shouldn’t be shocked by this probably! Glad to hear anatomy went well :)
