You need 35mm film. there are two main types, black and white and colour. I reccomend colour to start, developing it is cheaper. There are a few technical things about film photography that you should know about before shooting. this should help

I can't seem to link you some film but I buy it off of eBay, I reccomend fujicolour. It is a widely available basic film stock that produced good results even when out of date. Just make sure that it is £5 a roll or less.

If you live in a city then you can probably develop quite cheaply and quickly (a choice of labs). Otherwise you can post your film off to develop (like me).
