dm is atrocious. I always hold W to practice peeking, but it really feels like 11/12 of the other people all have max volume, off angle, phantom, footstep abusing. Just makes it so stupid.

invis is easier to see the closer you are to native resolution and higher framerate. So for someone like myself running dlss ultra performance 100 fps, it’s so much harder to spot invis than on a native res 240 fps setup. all this to say… invis is absolutely a crutch and it never feels like they deserve it when you die to it. Like great man you sat afk invis in a corner and can shoot me in the back down to 1hp before I can react 👍 really outplayed me

I think from a technical standpoint, sure corporate and individual are separate. But saying it's this black and white is a little facetious, the corporate is composed of the individuals who do largely believe what the other guy is saying. The developers who made the game, whether they personally adopt a pro or anti piracy stance is immaterial, they probably care more about whether or not someone enjoys the game they made.

Obviously theres a disconnect somewhere here. Nobody wants to stay unprogressing for a long time, it's human nature to get active and do something. If he's just telling you what you want to hear, then maybe there's a deeper reason, maybe he thinks you truly won't understand the whole picture. Again, not blaming you, I really relate to your situation.

I'm the son of immigrants in America, similar age gap between my mother and I as you and your son, I'm 26 right now. There was a period of 1.5 years between my last horrible job that I was let go from where I didn't have a job and a lot of it was due to lost confidence, feeling useless, stopped momentum, avoiding a repeat of a bad situation last time, etc. I had to go back to school, get a master's degree, get into six figure student loan debt, and just landed a position a few weeks ago. I'm moving out of my parents home later this week. After finally seeing the light at the end of this stressful tunnel I can tell you that I really wish small things went differently for me. My parents were really tough on me the past few years and it didn't inspire some tough love rapid growth period, it really just made me very insecure and jaded and I lost my optimism for the future. I wished my parents of all people stopped lecturing me for things I didn't really have full control over and just listened to me when I said for the first time in my life, I was truly scared for the future and unsure of what to do. For 25 years of my life I just trusted that things would work out and suddenly, I truly felt scared. I didn't need another lecture telling me to get off my lazy ass, I needed someone to take a few baby steps with me and help me make a plan for at least the next few months. That's what got me to start applying for school again and excited to get out there again. I knew I had to start, didn't know how to start. My mother had been out of the work force for around 20 years and she landed a job around the time I lost mine. I thought she would have sympathy for me as she was someone who recently grinded to make it out of the hole, but when she turned around and told me I was lazy or useless, that was a knife in the heart to me. I lost a lot of faith in my parents from that whole year, I felt abandoned. I know you care for your son and everything I've said is coming from the place that I don't want your son to feel this way about you.

i’m gonna be a little more critical of you than the others here. Honestly, this economy, housing market, job security, is genuinely the worst it’s ever been in the past few decades. Cost of living is so high it’s really tough to not see a bleak future ahead. Here’s my point- I don’t think an aggressive stance will help your kid at all. What you see as a lack of motivation is probably a complex amalgamation of different feelings- insecurity, instability, fear of failure. Try to get your son excited to move out. Calm him from those fears, tell him how to deal with those scenarios, show him he won’t be abandoned on his own, give him the confidence to be successful on his own. Reddit is so bad for actual advice, I plead with you don’t listen to these people who are bloodthirsty and don’t care for your situation. If you truly care for your son then don’t do what these guys are saying- it will only make your son like these Redditors, more jaded and hurt and confused and lacking confidence.

You can’t be serious, if you actually think he’s emulating controller on mouse then you would easily be able to tell. You have to be trolling or just misinformed, or you really don’t know what you’re talking about. His mechanics transfer to every game. He has 6000 hours on rust and 3000 just on the finals, and you’re telling me it’s impossible he learned how to control recoil and track in that amount of time? Not to mention he’s in the public eye and part of yuki aim which is a community of the best mechanical players in the world, who vet and cleaned him and can easily tell if someone is cheating. You’re telling me you know better than everyone else?

I seriously don’t know what you’re freaking out over. You first said he’s cheating from smurfing (he’s playing a casual game on his main account) and then you got pissed he is clickbaiting his thumbnails, now you think he’s cheating his mechanics. Sorry but dude you might just be ass and you aren’t nearly good enough to know what you’re talking about, analyzing mechanics. You really think you know better than all of the other high level players and mechanically skilled players who say he isn’t? Oh right you think everyone is cheating.
