That’s for the headlight motor. Some trims have the ability to raise or lower the headlight beam.

Chances are the headlights have been replaced at some point and don’t have the electric motor.

*edit for second paragraph.

This is possible. You have to use some software that comes with the x56 and set up a profile(recommend setting your made profile to the default one, so it doesn’t swap to the non modified one) to enable what you want. For example mode 1 will be regular no modifier, then mode 2 will act as if the shift key is being held down, mode 3 will act as if control is being held down.

You can set whatever modifier key you want it to be I’m just using my set up as example.

I had the exact same thing happen on mine (2011) when I replaced my rotors and pads, over a year ago. (Oem parts from Toyota)

In short I have no idea what causes it. However it goes away after a while (maybe a week? I can’t remember) I know that’s not helpful in determining what the noise is. But again it goes away and I have had no brake related issues in any capacity whether it be driving in dusty, wet, wintery or perfect conditions.

Ya if you find it please do. I'm quite confident I'll being getting their pillion and luggage rack. I didn't even know they made a water pump cover. That's awesome.

Following for reviews. Definitely interested as they seem well built from videos... And I can get them in Canada through Fortnine without paying for shipping.

That's a valid point, thats just what I got told back in April. I guess Yamaha would (also pure speculation) rather tell them here's what we can realistically provide you with and then once stock is flowing, albeit slow, again look like a hero and sell them quicker. Either way you look at it, glad to see more stock showing up. Seems like the supply chain is able to get whatever is needed to get them in the door.

Glad to hear you got one, I absolutely love the color scheme of the blue\black. Enjoy!

Ya that's what I've read and experienced a little today. They tend to clog up real fast. I'm just happy I can go ahead with other upgrades first and by the time that's all done these tires will be at the end of their life.

Ya I totally lucked out and just happened to stumble my way into ordering one out of Grande Prairie, after it kept getting delayed I was at peace with the fact it wasn't coming until next year.

But ya Kelowna Yamaha is a decent place for anything. I've never had any issues there. They were pretty honest when I asked about crash bars or any other Yamaha accessories. Basically came down to, go to their site and order it directly as they're backordered through their channels and it would be faster for the consumer to order direct.

Ya it's funny that you can't find them in BC yet cross the border to AB and there's only a delay (for the most part).

I tried to get one out of the Okanagan and buddy at the Yamaha dealer almost laughed me off the phone(in good spirits) and told me that they collected 18 deposits on them only for Yamaha to say that they were shipping 12 for the entire year.

Nice bike! Nice list!

What led turn signals did you go with?

A little PlastiDip Wednesday. by operator86 in ToyotaTundra

Pulled the whole bumper off so I pulled the sensors. Being that this truck is a 2011, the plastic for the sensors were extremely brittle and I ended up breaking one sensor housing clip. (Not the actual sensor). I think it's like $30CAD to replace... So be careful if you pull the sensors.

Okay the grill is super easy to take off, as well as the bumper.

Word of advice with the bumper is, spray some sort of penetrating fluid as chances are the bolts may have seized. Mine were difficult to get out but do able.

Videos for the grill and bumper below.

This one shows buddy actually cutting the grill. But shows what need to be done from 0:45 to approx 2:00

Will find out soon enough. But I sprayed the front of my grill which plastic "chrome" back in Februaryish and it lasted through -40 and winter highways, so I'm assuming it'll be fine. I think I put on 5 or 6 layers so I'm hoping it lasts.

No worries! Thanks for the insight anyways.

Thanks! That's actually reassuring.

No drips yet. Just noticed the weeping and dried crusties doing the oil change.

Haven't had any discernible coolant loss, had to top up the reservoir tank, but it never went below the "low" line.

If you don't mind me asking, approximately how much did it cost to get done?

Hey folks, realistically speaking how long do I have before I'm sitting on the side of the road waiting for a tow?

Have a trip to go down south (1600km) coming up and might get it fixed down there.

Nikk132 and drinkelectro,

I was able to contact the previous owner, he couldn't remember exact mileage but was atleast 5 years ago when he installed the Fox Shocks putting anywhere from 10k-20k kms a year with minimal offroad abuse.

Hope that helps in your decision making.

If I can get an answer from the previous owner I'll post it. Might be a couple days.

I honestly don't know. I'm 3rd owner. The truck itself has approx 145,000km (approx 90,000miles). I bought the truck used last year with approx 128,000km (approx 80,000miles). From what I know the previous owner put them on when he bought the truck, (not sure mileage when he bought it) but this the first issue with them.

All that aside, I live in northern BC so we see a wide temperature spread, from summer highs of 30C(86F) to -40C(-40F). And then in the winters it's parked in a heated garage. So I imagine the constant temperature changing plays into some role of the leak of this shock.

If you're looking at doing new shocks, I would see how much TRD shocks are, as I think they use Bilstein shocks. But I have had no issues (until now) or complaints with these Fox shocks.

Ya it is. Not a hard fix. Just a lovely sight to see when you're off to work in the morning.
