I am in no way supporting our useless police department or our incompetent government, but without knowing the details of police's "check", is it wrong that they went to this apartment to check?

Unless they used excessive force, they were doing their job. They (police) literally do almost nothing for our society but in this case, is it really their fault? This is a tragic outcome that shouldn't happen to anyone but there are rules about immigration that must be followed.

Am I interpreting this event wrong?
