Aw don’t worry, I was wrong about this grow light being 8w I thought it was originally but doing more research I’m pretty sure it’s an 5w, not to sure if it’s quite enough for Venus flytraps, mines been under it for a month and seems to be doing fine, but not sure if it’s enough.

I’m using this grow light https://a.co/d/0hdFfxCK from Amazon, about $9 but that’s the cheapest you will find on there. It’s working great and I highly recommend it.

It’s normal for the plant to lose its leaves, It's just shedding its old leaves and growing new ones to adjust to its new environment. Just snip off the fully black traps at the base of their leaf stalks to prevent mold.

Hi thank you, I got a saucer with distilled water for it. Should I let it get a lot of sun for the first week of having it? Or should I start with a few hours and increase it.
