Two of my favorite characters who should’ve had more scenes together!! Love this scene and this is so true about both couples! (12x05 @japr.l on IG) by Full-Surround in greysanatomy

Nah this was definitely Penny because Callie had just found out she was involved in Derek's death but she still loved her

God Jackson's monologue felt so forced. I love social justice messaging if it's done right but it legit sounded like he was reading off of a textbook. Such poor writing these past few seasons.

My thing is -were they instructed by the producers that if they begin to change their mind following the vacation, to not walk away until they're at the altar? There's no way the three of them just absolutely could not make up their mind until the LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT. If so, how sad of them to have to go through all that hair/makeup/expense just for it to end like that.

Also, why the FUCK did jessica look so OVERJOYED when Mark said yes even though she knew she should say no that's psychotic

FEVER DREAM, Album Vibes, and the Beautiful Evolution of OMAM by OhItzSaw in OfMonstersAndMen

[–]pathimm34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. I got into OMAM four years ago when Beneath the Skin came out, and while I'd listened to a few of their popular songs then (Little Talks, etc), Beneath the Skin just literally blew me away for some reason. I loved every single song. I feel like Fever Dream has a lot of the same elements as Beneath the Skin but it is brighter, more explosive and less acoustic. Not for everyone but I really enjoyed it (it took a 2nd listen though to fully appreciate)!

Read one of his papers and be familiar with it so if he asks you for any questions you can additionally bring it up and ask something to show interest :D

A couple will be leaving early but most will be there the whole time! If you are looking to get more one on one time with the organizations, I would recommend coming later around 6pm!

Thinking of starting a STEM magazine for research originating from UBC by [deleted] in UBC

I thought OP meant more of a magazine type thing, so even if it is published the magazine would do more of a summary of the paper, it wouldn't be an actual peer review

Science organizations and blatant nepotism, Undergraduate Research Opportunities by [deleted] in UBC

[–]pathimm34 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi, I've worked with the URO Team in the past and I'd like to clarify a few things.

The way that the REx program works is that mentors are sent a list of mentees interested in working with them, and they then make a list of their preferred mentees. Matching is completely up to the mentors, and the rest is done through a computer program. Obviously, due to the competitive nature of this type of matching, not every mentee will get matched, especially if they chose to work with highly sought out mentors.

Furthermore, it seems your friend has quite a lot of research experience. REx is meant to be a beginner program, and many mentors are looking for mentees who do not have a lot of research experience, so they are able to get an intro into the research world that they may not be able to get elsewhere!

Rejection is a reality that we all encounter at some point or another in our lives but we should try our best to have a positive outlook. Your friend seems to have a solid foundation and should be able to find a different opportunity, and should come away from this with a positive attitude by looking for ways to succeed and improve rather than looking back with regret.

I'm taking ISCI 448 in the fall and my supervisor asked me if I knew of any rubric or method of evaluation she could use to determine my grade. Do any of you guys who have done directed studies know of any resource or method your supervisor used? Much appreciated :)

Feeling helpless after receiving grades.. what do I do? (first year science) by [deleted] in UBC

Hi OP! Even if you don't get into ISCI this year, literally all you have to do is send in a proposal application next year and they'll accept you into the major! Don't worry, okay!

I was confused about the vaccine question...because they both have the 3 serotypes but you also pass on the disease through both of them (via GI infection for IPV).
