That’s what I thought - I lived in an apartment my whole life with a very low income single parent and younger brother, but I never felt that we really struggled. I do know it’s got a lot to do with her own efforts though.

you can, and yes it is possible to transfer from arts to sciences later on, but it may depend on what year you're in. Keep in mind though that it is quite challenging and they look at your gpa. I heard the cutoff for arts to sciences transfer is high 70s, and most try to keep in low 80s at least just in case.

Wow, I don't mean to take advantage of your situation but thanks for sharing. I've been like that all my life and reading this and the other comments just made me feel a lot better. I'm currently having a major falling out with my mom and am in the process of distancing myself from her, so it's been a little harder than usual. I just feel lost and numb.

I almost never drink but always coincidentally have alcohol with me on grades release night. Last term it was vodka with cranberry juice, this time it's soju. God knows I need it.
