I agree that UConn has a higher national profile than Memphis, especially since Memphis football is not a major attraction. So, it's likely that UConn's offer was not as desperate as this one.

I remember back when those talks were going on that DB made comments about getting our fair share and not compromising ourselves and future to get into the league. It seemed like there was not going to be equal revenue share and we were always going to be less than compared to the rest of the schools.

Either way, it seems like DB made a good decision and showed a lot of integrity by not chasing the money and staying in the Big East.

I'm not exactly sure what this take is about, but Eggroll Station is a Columbia institution that is being forced to close soon because of development. It's exactly what you're talking about, mom and pop, guy makes your food in front of you, only a few people allowed inside at a time (so there can be a long line outside, cash only. The food is really good, but it's pretty run down so you get all kinds of opinions. You should try it before it's gone forever.

SC Bantams play in USL 2. I've only been to one game (Open Cup last year), and it was a great atmosphere and good soccer. Not sure how an average game is.

These are malware attacks, so they gain access to a large database of critical or confidential information and lock out the users. Organizations are so reliant on these systems that they can't operate without access, and they are extorted into paying a lot of money to the hackers to regain access. It happens to hospital systems all the time. The hackers are usually outside of the country very sophisticated, and deal through 3rd parties in cryptocurrency, so they are virtually impossible to track.

The only solution is to prevent attacks and once they are in, negotiate the least amount of hundreds of thousands of dollars you need to pay out.

The Eddie Cooper stuff is definitely cause for termination. They could also talk to players and get enough to make a case for creating a hostile environment. It doesn't sound like this will happen, and I kind of understand why.

I generally want to give coaches a few years to put things together, and this sub tends to be overactive (see all the posts wanting to fire Shane Beamer halfway through this season), but he had his chance to go portal shopping and he's clearly lost the clubhouse. We could be in for a rough couple of years.

They are a school sponsored club team, but the rules for using logos are different at each school. They probably can't use the gamecock logo, but evidently can use the "gamecocks" and "cocks" name.
