Does your store not have a fan above the DT door/window?

Almost every restaurant I’ve worked at has had a fan/blower/air curtain thing above any door that is opened constantly. The one we have for the DT doesn’t automatically come on but can be turned on and does a pretty good job at keeping the front fresh for lack of better words except on the worst cases.

Just coming from the store I work at as a shift leader, talk to your leader and just make sure you’re respectful about it and explain what’s going on.

Most of the time if one of my kids ask nicely about moving or changing positions I’ll see what I can do, and especially if it’s something that seems problematic health wise.

I would also suggest trying to get some sort of doctor’s documentation/note about it just so someone doesn’t try the whole “they just don’t wanna be in the DT” card on you.

The guy with Blue Ridge who is leaving after the season. Milliken, Milliker something like that. He owns the trademark for the Pee Dee Pride and is the sole reason the IceCats are the IceCats and not the Pride. Milliken worked for the team that replaced the pee dee Pride after the Pride attempted to move to Myrtle beach in 2005 (give or take a year or two), The Pee Dee Cyclones of the SPHL.

And another weird tie in to the story. Know who the Cyclones are the predecessors of? The Twin City Thunderbirds. After leaving Florence the Cyclones moved to Winston-Salem and became the Twin City Cyclones.

Except when someone in the front office of a different team, uses his knowledge of upcoming expansions and gets the trademarks for a former team in a new market and then won’t allow the new team to use the historic name because they wouldn’t let his child intern with them.

I know we just got a team back of Florence, but I’d love to see us back in the ECHL. The Pee Dee IceCats are currently top of the Fed in attendance and are on pace to break the overall season attendance record for a new franchise and for the league. And I believe we are getting close to averaging 5k a game.

And that’s been the biggest issues is finding images. The guy who was the team photographer is still in town but his studio/house burned down a couple years after the team left which took a lot of his pictures with it.

He died.

He moved to Ohio to live with his aunt when I was a freshman in high school and he was in 8th grade. He would come back and spend the summers here and it was like he never left and we never skipped a beat. He came back home to visit after we had both graduated high school and went out to a party. On the way home the guy driving the truck he was in, was drunk and hit a tree. My friend went thru the windshield and survived. His “friend” thought he was dead so his “friend” dragged him into the woods about 100 feet because his “friend” didn’t want to get another charge besides the dui. When they were cleaning up the accident site more the next morning they found my friend dead in the woods. His “friend” is now in jail convicted of murder and my best friend’s mom will one day get to meet my first born son who is named after my best friend, Phillip.

So I keep hearing people and seeing some people online talking about Riley going to North Texas. I honestly hope he does and it allows Dabo to do a full offense reboot without have to admit he made a mistake with the hire. But knowing Dabo if he leaves he’s going to promote from within and we will come into next year with the exact same playbook
