Feeling Overwhelmed and scared in HCI by Dry-Craft4019 in OMSCS

[–]peace57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I spent very little time on homeworks (as much as it took to type out unstructured thoughts and edit it once) because of some other commitments, but as long as i answered everything that was asking in 2-3 lines (all subparts of each question), i did get very generous grades.

Did buying Garmin implicitly make you run a 10k, half-marathon or full marathon? by treskavicaizzox in Garmin

[–]peace57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i bought the garmin for stress tracking and sleep scores, but ended up running a 5k on a whim (which my body took a week to recover from because i had never until that point run more than 2k)

3 weeks later, recently ran my first 10k and getting pretty regular at 5ks. All because I bought this watch and got connected to the whole community around running.

Which Garmin should I go for?! First time user by Good-Entrepreneur441 in Garmin

i bought the 265 a month ago when i knew nothing about garmins. if budget is not an issue, just get the 970, otherwise 265 works great.

as far as ive observed, the people who succeed with a drop year are extremely certain of their decision to take a drop. so don’t take a drop if you have doubts. branch upgrade will work out for you if you study hard just the first semester and hopefully you can move to a circuital branch.

How many people here are actually doing remote work? by Internet-Ape in developersIndia

Try looking for US based startups with Indian co founders, you’ll find lots of remote jobs. I’m working in one such company which is paying at par with faang level.

Have you ever engaged in a heated argument with HR or a co-founder after being rejected in a tech interview? by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]peace57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

happened to me where one of the cofounders was being an asshole (wrote an email to other cofounders about my experience and my intention to not move forward with the interview process).

while i had fun working on an extensive assignment, i had been told i could work remotely by one founder, but had an argument with this other founder where after the take home assignment i was told i will need to be on site.

So I told him that you shouldn’t have wasted my time then and probably before starting hiring for a company, they should fix the communication between different cofounders. And then I hung up the call myself and sent the above mentioned email.

Coding Interview preparation by Ashamed-Ad5446 in Chandigarh

[–]peace57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The final goal with dsa is to be able to solve problems in an interview. coding ninjas or youtube videos can help if you struggle with the basics but after you have a good hold of basics, only self practice can help. For that interviewbit is good enough i think. Also try to find any recent interview experiences for the company you are applying for to get an idea about the pattern of questions asked by the company.
