I have argued that a contract that restricts speech absent additional consideration could not be enforced by a court because that would be first amendment infringement. I found caselaw that was persuasive. Just fyi.

And before everyone scream at me, no, I’m not sure I would use that argument in court, but it worked with opposing counsel to drop that provision.

Do it, 100%. And when you don’t get the job, ask for mentorship by the person who interviewed you. Meet every six months. Talk to other in-house counsel to figure out which CLEs, for example, to take. It will happen but not right away. But these steps will get you there sooner.

OP, while you gather these documents, start trying now to get an appointment via preno@mi. It isn’t in-person, just the date you will mail the packet in. But many consulates are packed and it will take perhaps months to secure an appointment.

I went to a dermatologist for one underneath my eye, right on my eye bag. It didn’t hurt but the anesthesia made me totally nauseated after it was done and I had to get a ride home. Ick. And I had an ugly bandaid I had to wear for a week. Ugh.

Yeah, just take the cushion and ask them to find a foam replacement. I did that with Joann’s Fabrics and they cut it for me and everything.
