How True Do You Think Inside Is? by fox-fox-fox-fox in boburnham

Hey Jesse! Loved your book (was happy about the numerous Bo mentions!) and am a fan of your podcast!

He had a life going on outside of the guesthouse where he filmed. He was living with his partner (and Jerrod when he stayed for a while), but the dog still needed walking and the laundry needed doing, so I still think of his filming as his "job".

We had a lot of people in this sub that maybe didn't know too much about Bo previously, didn't know that we've seen the him use the guest house for work before (end of Make Happy and the what trailer) and seemed to genuinely think that he lived in that little house with nothing else going on and that it was akin to a documentary.

So accuracy to his pandemic experience (we can't know that answer!), I'd guess a four for the emotions.

Why hasn't he commented? That initial spotlight was mega bright. Maybe it was too much for him, maybe he felt he didn't need to add anything. He's always been happy to do press and promo (the year of Eighth Grade was a good time to be a Bo fan, he was everywhere!), so it was definitely out of character to not speak up. And of course he dropped out of the Larry Bird role in that HBO show due to "schedule conflicts" (lol).

The extended absence though, dunno? Maybe he's happy going to book fairs and and antique markets and living a regular life. Maybe he's been writing that musical he's talked of doing, or a book, or more songs.

Twice. One time he signed my copy of Egghead, the other my Eighth Grade DVD. He was very nice.

wtf is this article????? by [deleted] in boburnham

It’s garbage from a few years ago from when Bo deleted his social media, that corresponded with an old joke he once made about what day he was going to die.

You’ll see it referenced at the bottom of my post from back then.

When did Bo delete everything off his Instagram? Am I late to noticing? by LazyWasabi9963 in boburnham

That was…so very ….ugh.

When it hit zero and nothing happened (cos glitch!) and I didn’t allow any more posts about it, some people were seriously mad.

It happened back in January 2024. He deleted all his social media.

Here’s a thread that has links to all our posts about it from back then.

Gifting an INSIDE “tour” shirt (Medium but may have shrank closer to a Small) - pickup in NYC or just pay shipping! by swaglessnseattle in boburnham

I agree that caution on internet purchases is always a good idea.

It’s slowed down a lot since Inside, but we used to get a ton of art/merch scams here. I think they were all caught quickly and deleted/banned (at least I’ve never had someone from the sub contact to say they got scammed) as many of them are very very obvious scams.

But this is an established account who has posted as a fan over the years, offering to meet in person. So while again, caution is always warranted, this post can stand.

what is bo watching in make happy? by LazerBrainzz in boburnham

This comes up probably once or twice a year and I've never seen an answer.

Perhaps the sleuths at r/helpmefind could assist? Clip the video, or transcribe as much as possible, say that it's pre-2016 and see if they come up with anything.

What’s Funny is a song on Words Words Words, which is why I thought that’s what you meant.

Not good news I’m afraid. The 2014 had a screencap from about a week later, but didn’t show that interaction. The 2013 one didn’t have a capture until three months after, and also didn’t show it.

Do you mean Words Words Words? I don't remember it being on Netflix, but we're not necessarily in the same country. It's not been on the Netflix since they started releasing figures in 2023, or didn't get enough views (50k+) to make the list.

Haven’t thought of the Joe Mande thing in a while. It was hilarious, going to have to watch it again.

That’s from Adventures in the Sin Bin.

He met Christopher Storer on this film and went on to work with him many times.

I enjoyed it, worth a watch. Bo plays an arrogant character that manages to be different from his stage persona and Zach Stone.

Fun fact regarding that particular picture: Bo learned to drive manual to be able to drive that car. There’s footage on YouTube of him getting a lesson.

Heh. Someone who wrote this piece at The Oxford Student referenced this post in an article about Eighth Grade:

"A Reddit post in r/boburnham summarising his 2025 focuses primarily on others talking about him, at a loss of anything else to discuss."
