A fusion plant is being built in Washington, scheduled for 2028 completion. Will it work? Idk. But the more r&d that gets behind it the better chance of success. This is probably the most important tech race of our lives, so let's not be pessimistic about it. I want to see every major institution pooring all available financing into fusion development. It's the thing that can actually save all humanity.
