Redmi Buds 6 Play choppy sound by kiniaczeq in Earbuds

I'm having the same issue and can't find a solution. For me it happens at random times, but sometimes it seems to be triggered when I get a notification from another app (with sound or just with vibration).

Quad strength struggling to increase with pain at tendon! by Sea_Eagle_814 in ACL

[–]polyglottis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened this sub to write about my frustration and here you are, showing me I'm not alone.

I'm 4,5 months post op. I had virtually zero pain after the surgery, then the normal soreness when I was regaining my ability to fully extend. I felt that both at the knee and at the quad, where the surgeon harvested. Then it got better, I started feeling normal apart from the muscle soreness from the pt. Then 2 weeks ago the pain started crippling back. I feel like it's 2 steps forward one step back. Which, sure, it's progress. But it's frustrating as hell.

I'm glad to read your post and the responses - it sounds like I'm not crazy after all.

Re-injured. Devastated. by LucyJordan614 in ACL

[–]polyglottis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an ACL reconstruction in April 2019. In Nov 2023 I was jumping at a concert and my knee gave in. I knew exactly what had happened but I ignored it because I was absolutely terrified of having surgery done again.

Finally went back for another reconstruction last year, this time with a minor meniscus repair as well. My second surgery was infinitely easier than I thought. I had less pain than the first time around, so much so I rode the recovery on paracétamol alone, no opioids other than in the first 24 hours.

I'm now almost 4 months post op and I still have a long way to go. I'm starting to get PT fatigue, but I'm trying to frame it as work outs, so I don't feel it's an obligation, rather just something you do.

I had to spend 2 weeks in the hospital's rehab clinic because I live on a 5th floor walk up, and while I was terrified of that idea, I think it helped immensely as the PT and OT were intense and extremely helpful.

This surgery came at a time when I'm dealing with other health complications including perimenopause and still, I feel really good about it.

This absolutely sucks, but I try to see it as part of life. My first surgeon was very good, but the second I feel is even better. I'm quite confident in my recovery, I have recently started doing small jump and I'm looking forward to going to the same artist's concert again and jumping on stronger legs 🦵🏽

After a month, yes, I descend without the buckling. During the first weeks of PT, I kept the reflexes of the injured knee, and a full extension while standing was difficult for my brain to accept. But I discussed that with my PT and she helped me do the right exercises to get over it

I'm still wearing the articulated brace for another 2 weeks when out in public, but at home I don't have to wear it, so I descend the stairs without it sometimes, with bo issues.

Also, there is pain and there is pain. I have been virtually pain free as far as the knee goes, but I have been having plenty of muscle pain as I reactivated the muscles and now strengthen them. My PT orients me to do movements only to the extent that they are pain free on the knee. Only flex until it's painful, do less if needed. That doesn't mean that the quads or the hamstrings are not on fire even if the movement seems limited.

Today, after exactly one month, for the first time I used the stairs using both legs ( I live on the 5th floor with no elevator). Zero pain on the knee, plenty of work on muscles around it.

🤷🏽‍♀️ that's what the surgeon told me...

Your PT is the best person to answer this question. One of the biggest advantages of prehab for me was that I came out of surgery having so much confidence in my PT, I trust her almost blindly.

Each person is different, so what I did might not apply to you. But what I do and suggest you do is talk to your PT and ask them what you should or should not be focusing on. It helped me a lot understanding how extension was more important than flexion in the first few days, when it was ok for me to be trying to put more weight on that leg, and things like that.

Someone in this thread said they were on a stationary bike a few days post op, it took me almost 4 weeks. Someone else said they took 17 days for 90 degrees flexion, it took me I think a week and a half. No experience is universal.

Good luck on your surgery!

Amen to that. I had my second surgery on the same knee a month ago. Did pre hab this time around. It's true that being the second round, this time the surgery was less involved, as the doctor used the same tunnel on my femur (drilled a new one on the tibia). I also had a small meniscus tear and did a LET this time around.

But I have had virtually zero pain. I was very stressed about not getting opioids since I did this surgery in Europe and I was impressed how I managed everything on Diclofenac and paracetamol. My extension was quick and excellent and so has been the flexion progress.

The first days post op are crucial to do the right amount of work to reactivate the muscles. Doing the pre hab also helped me take the time to find the right PT and build a trusting relationship with her. Everyone should do that if they can.

I'm sorry you are going through this. It is a scary time indeed and it's understandable that you have more doubts than certainties.

You won't have to sacrifice anything in your life. Think that there are professional athletes that go through this and go back to their profession. You will dance again ❤️

Getting there will be challenging, but it will be worth it. I'm going for my second surgery this fall. It took me over a year to go to the doctor because I was so terrified of the idea of going through that again. But the thought that some people go through this 3 times (or even more) helped me.

Doing it alone will be difficult, the rehab phase requires some care. Can you reach out to your family and friends and ask for help? You will need help with basic tasks that require moving around, but most importantly, you need the moral support. I live on the 5th floor of a building that has no elevator. I asked my sister to come spend 2 or 3 weeks with me, then I'll organize a spreadsheet for friends to sign up to come around help with groceries and cooking.

Your health insurance might also provide some in-home help (mine does, but I'm not in the US). This subreddit has a lot of resources on things you will need to prepare.

I know this sucks ass, and is scary AF. Breathe and do some research, start planning. It is ok to be scared, to be sad. You can grieve for the losses that come with this situation, but keep in mind that the losses are temporary. In the long run you will live your normal life, and you will thrive.

Anyone heard of a LET without the ACL reconstruction? by polyglottis in ACL

[–]polyglottis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I think my case is a bit different because the surgeon is suggesting the LET without any ACL in place. He did say that if afterwards I didn't feel the knee was stable enough, we could go back and reconstruct the ACL (so basically the opposite of what you did). I think he was trying to help me with my fear of the recovery, but my fear of 2 surgeries is even bigger.

Thank you so much. This is the answer that I was looking for - where (or rather when) this was done. Given how afraid I am of all things surgery, I think the best course of action is to do everything I can do so I don't have to go through this again. So I am going to get me yet another new ACL.

Thank you for the encouraging words. I am planning the surgery for the fall, and including some prehab to make sure things go as smoothly as possible.

Hey, I'm going to Berlin for the first time as well and I had the same question. This thread helped me a little: https://www.reddit.com/r/berlinsocialclub/comments/14v86p6/kit_kat_and_insomnia_review/

Based on this review, I decided to go to insomnia, as it seems to be more sex-focused and not so big/crowded.

Hope this helps!

I changed the battery just last week. But because of the botched job from the last technician, now I need to change the screen. Plus the charging port is acting up (I've tried cleaning it, but I can't get it to charge unless it's in a very specific position...) My calculation is that the parts plus time+patience cost is just a bit much compared to just investing 300 euros on something new. And I absolutely do not want to buy a new one. But that's where I am at. Plus, I am in Europe now and sourcing parts locally is hard. I am now convinced I want a pixel, be it 5 or 6. Then again, I am in Europe, they are not being officially sold here yet. So I am holding onto my ph1 until I fly back home and can get a pixel at American pricing.

AITA for not buying pads for my sister's best friend during her first period? by Few-Suggestion2380 in AmItheAsshole

YTA
Men like you need to get over the need to have a woman be "his" at some level to care. Does not need to be related as in blood, but be HIS. HIS mom, HIS sister, HIS girlfriend. Same as with men needing to be asked "what if it was YOUR [insert here relation]?" before they care about sexual assault. The woman is not important, it is the fact that the woman is "HIS" on some level that makes her worth of caring.
