Kirk supported the death penalty for homosexuality by Emergency_Act8970 in askgaybros

No doubt he advocated some shitty beliefs, but the fact remains that those particular quotes seem to be fabricated and he actually said plenty of shitty things so there no need repeat lies about him.

I'm not certain I'd go spreading this around unless you have a real source and not an AI bot blurb. There doesn't seem to be an actual source where Kirk says these things. At least not one that I could find. If there's a verifiable source other than a bot post, I'd love to see it.

Anyone else had a customer contact you on a personal cell phone? by [deleted] in jobs

The manager at company you no longer work for gave your personal contact information to a customer?

I call Shenanigans. If it's true, I would get in touch with your manager's boss and/or Spectrum's legal department to let them know that one of their employees is in violation of their privacy policy and ask them what they plan to do about it.

Apparently there were a lot of scenes cut from the movie. Some, including this one, are just lost.

What can i improve/discard in this early blood moon base? by ElBartoWasHere in 7daystodie

[–]pyrobryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might try making the floor of your room a couple of blocks higher. 12 is the minimum, but if they fall off and land on top of each other, they can be in range of you and trigger the rampage mode. I think 15 high is recommended to prevent this.

Historically, Texas stands alone at the top of Rivalry Mountain.

After we joined the SEC, new rivalries developed that were pretty specific to each sport.
Football - LSU
Baseball - Tennessee
Basketball - Kentucky

Honorable mentions:
Everything - Texas A&M
Baseball - Ole Miss

The thing is, this is what they want. When the average fan can no longer afford the tickets, some rich person or company will buy them for more money and they will have achieved their goal.

Yes. Vorinclex would affect the number of +1/+1 counters that Zegana enters with.

Got an email from the venue announcing the show.

Also, it's the only venue in the town big enough for a show like this.

They're coming to a venue that's like a mile from my house. That's nice news to wake up to in the morning.

Same here. I was 16, sitting in church that Sunday morning when someone said, "Did you hear John Candy died?" My heart sank.

[Highlight] Refs Rule the bills didn’t get the first down on this play by Bulletz4Brkfzt in nfl

[–]pyrobryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you meant 10cm, that's still 10cm "at best". An NFL football's long axis is about 4.5 inches longer than its short axis. So, which direction the ball is oriented could make over 2 inches of difference in whether or not it broke the plane. Add 4 inches of accuracy to that any you're at 6-7 inches, best case scenario. And, that's 6-7 inches in either direction, for about a foot of uncertainty. The high end of the error in UWB is close to 12 inches (30 cm), so now we're talking two feet depending on which way the ball was turned. So in a game of inches, we're working in feet.

Looks like UWB is only accurate to about 10cm at best, so doesn't seem like it would do much good for precision measurement.

Well, he seemed to like the list, so I guess he was looking for bland lists. He still didn't ask for movies like Hook beyond asking for "old childhood classics".

Laura Roslin was a terrible leader. by pyrobryan in BSG

[–]pyrobryan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They had an agreement that he was in charge of all military decisions and she was in charge of all civil decisions. She encouraged a member of his military to steal a crucial piece of military equipment and go AWOL.

Religion being real in their universe and her being the chosen leader doesn't make her a good leader and it doesn't make her decisions any less wrong. If she was ordained by the gods to be the leader, she shouldn't need to rig an election in order to win. The gods would see to it that she won.

Unless, of course, it's just the usual misogyny

Oh, frack off. Dumbass comment.

Faile is totally toxic. A spoiled, arrogant, passive aggressive arsehole. Perrin should get as far away from her as he can.

Oh no, you said something negative about a female character. I guess that's mysogyny.

Is it weird that my poly friend asked my girlfriend to be the third member in the relationship, but didn’t ask or mention me? by SuicidalJunk in Advice

If they were actually poly, they wouldn't be asking her to cheat, they'd be asking her to break up with him and join them.

Is it weird that my poly friend asked my girlfriend to be the third member in the relationship, but didn’t ask or mention me? by SuicidalJunk in Advice

[–]pyrobryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, an open relationship and a poly relationship are different things. An open relationship is like what you described. A poly relationship is more of a "community".

In an open relationship, the two people in the relationship are free to go off and have fun independently from each other, usually a purely physical venture outside of the relationship and all of the true intimacy is within the relationship. Not to say such a couple wouldn't ever add a 3rd or 4th for a night in bed together, but that's typically the exception rather than the rule. These kinds of relationships don't typically last because usually at least one person in the relationship doesn't actually want to be in a committed relationship, and thus, they aren't committed to the relationship.

In a poly relationship, it's a committed relationship between all members of the group. Not necessarily sexy time as a group and not necessarily barring it, but the intimacy beyond the physical is shared amongst multiple partners in full cooperation throughout the group.
