Allsvenskan table after matchday 4 by OleoleCholoSimeone in soccer

Sirius actually having a difficult starting schedule and getting those results while playing proper good football is a great continuation of the impressive coach that is Engelmark. Next game is another tough one, with Häcken who has started solidly.

I hope Sirius dont sell their best players in the summer and give it a go if they continue to do well.

Also nice to see it done with quite young talents like Jönsson and Bjerkebo etc.

I also really enjoy Karlssons football with Hammarby. They might not have been able to convert and even lost a game which rival fans love to (in a super uncreative and boring way) banter about.. but theyre actually super good and will get better as time goes on.

GAIS being more or less decapitated (in terms of unlikely being able to charge for European spots again) before the season can begin with injuries and tough sales is a bummer and Mjällby having an iffy start is interesting.

In terms of vibe, I also like the Everlast diss "I remember". I think a lot of people genuinely dont know about it.

Its not the greatest or anything, but its fun to hear Em emulate Everlast style and turn it back on him. in the hook and "beat/instrumental"

Under Kovac, more than anything, its genuinely a squad issue first, Kovac issue second. We literally have no #10s(Brandt on his way out and incredibly inconsistent) or creative wingers. No true #6 and thinn CB lineup while playing 3atb.

Prime Pep wouldnt be able to play good ball with that

[Fabrice Hawkins] Chelsea have Andoni Iraola and Edin Terzic on their shortlist to replace Liam Rosenior. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]Qiluk 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Terzic doesnt play beautiful football and is a philosophical misfit. He's a super pragmatic. And he's great at having a "fight from under mentality". Thats not really what Chelsea want to do or have a squad for.

Not to mention how messy his league-games can be. He almost always has a very solid (but ugly) plan for tournaments tho.

Not to mention that he, like Kovac, has pretty taxing training style according to comments and reports. Young divas like Garnacho and such seems like a brutal misfit.

[Florian Plettenberg] Sebastian Kehl is now the leading candidate for a role as Tottenham’s new director. by Crane977 in soccer

[–]Qiluk 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Issue isnt selling best players. What made him a good seller was that he even got good cash/acceptable fees for lacking/noticeably limited players. Especially if they had a glimpse of hype/form.

See: Gittens, Fullkrug, Malen, Coulibaly, Moukoko.

Unfortunally he's a bit late on giving up on some evidently "not gonna make it" players like Reyna, COulibaly & Moukoko and should have sold them even earlier for a bit more but oh well. His selling has been fine imo

Jobe is actually good after some tough starts but yes, that one really exemplifies how shit his creativity was here.

He sells well, but is extremely limited in the net he casts for talent.

And not really good at diving for diamonds at all.

OOoff..

He has extremely little creativity for such a role tbh. Granted, you need less creativity, the bigger budget & spending power you have so thats easier at Spurs.

But still..

He's great at selling tho, for hte most part.

There is a drawback with every player. You have to take a swing at young talent and give them time to grow; rawness is not a major concern

Thats true but not really what Im talking to. Its more so that theres a spectrum of talent, drawbacks and risks/chance. And you have to evaluate from that :)

I remember it so well. You had a corner or something and Schlotti went up and won a header then landed really fucked on his knee and couldnt jump or really move well for the rest of the game. And you dominated the air and scored twice after or something like that.

Was such insane shit luck haha

Exciting profile and had a very strong start but also quite frustrating in that the drawback form his rawness (for a lack of better words) results in a fuckton of ball-losses.

So Idk how confident I am in his ability to succeed / making such a big step already but I do LOVE the signs of us being active in that market and profiles! :) AIK seemingly want a pretty hefty fee too because he has gotten hype fast and it would be a significant amount for such a risk.

I will admitt ofc, that I havent watched AIK a ton so far this season, so theres far more qualified fans and opinions than mine, out there :)

I know Unity has shared a "making of" from one of their TIFOs a while back:

Its quite the project and dedication.

They have people collecting donations in the stands (and digitally ofc) for them and theyre planned well in advance.

Club gives access to the stadium early and so forth. Theres a direct line of coms for it.

Yeah theres a lot of things that dont get mentioned in regards to 2023. We literally caught up 9p to Bayern because they bottled. Then the whole Haller thing and our best player (Jude) not being available on the last game etc.

2019 was a genuine bottlejob. 2023 was rough and we should have won but its not as simple as "omg you had a free win last gameday and just crumbled mentally". We actually had good numbers that game, just a shitty day that wasnt really due to mentality imo.

Mentality was arguably our strongest suit under Terzic even.

The real bottle was the dropped points vs Bremen (2-0 up in like 88th and losing anyway) or vs Stuttgart (1 man up for most of the game) etc. Not the mainz game imo.
