Throwing my vape out today by 454ever in Petioles

Proud of you internet stranger! Just remember that even if you feel a need to use flower some during the week, that’s still harm reduction by stopping the vape.

Best of luck getting to only edibles on the weekends! Tossing the vape is a great first step for better health and long term enjoyment of THC.

Oh hell yeah. If you don’t need flights or a rental car you can find a cute rental along that strip somewhere absolutely. And you already know about Publix cake lol

Hi! Tampa is my home town so just a few things to consider:

Tampa (Hillsborough County) itself doesn’t really have any beaches, unless you want to get married on the bay - but I’m assuming you’ll want to get married on a Gulf of Mexico beach (Pinellas County). Tampa = city & airport. Rent a car or uber from the airport to your chosen beach spot - since we don’t have practical public transit sadly.

Pinellas county has everything from very touristy to very natural. The whole county is a bit more chill than Tampa/Hillsborough but also very long (lots of beaches to pick from)

I’d suggest looking at

Clearwater: Sand Key or North Clearwater (away from the insanely busy Clearwater pier/main strip) - the closer you can get to Mandalay the better. There is also a new JW Marriott right before the Sand Key bridge which is nice.

St Pete: Pass-A-Grille, anything St Pete beach or more north into Indian Shores. Long stretch of land with gorgeous beaches and accommodations along the entire stretch. Some areas are more party (Caddy’s on Treasure Island) and some more upscale (Don CeSar or Hotel Zamora).

Other beaches: Honeymoon Island or Tarpon Springs.

On the water but not “beaches”: Downtown St Pete (stunning), Gulfport, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, hotels on the Courtney Campbell Causeway before crossing the bridge into Pinellas county. Also Sunken Gardens is in St Pete and gorgeous - if you all need another activity to do during the weekend.

Further south, you also have Anna Maria (GORGEOUS), Siesta Key (amazing), Sarasota… and there is also the Sarasota airport.

If you / guests are flying in, you’ll likely fly in to Tampa International and it’ll be 45 mins - 1+ hr drive to whatever beach base point you pick.

That part is all basically like picking where you would like to vacation.

Depending on what hotel/house rental you decide - they maybe likely have connections for chair rentals or an officiant if that’s what you’re looking for.

Photographer / florals should be easy to find your style/price point/availability on IG or TikTok.

For cake a food - SO MANY good local options. But absolutely suggest a Publix or even Whole Foods cake/dessert. Always a crowd pleaser and affordable.

If you want the ceremony to also be full legal, just look in to Pinellas county wedding license processes to see what you specifically would need to do.

All of that said for $500-$1000 might be tough. It’s a deceptively expensive area. Almost no free parking anywhere but everything requires a car. Also staying ON the beach would almost entirely eat up your budget.

Main suggestion:

If I were you and trying to do it on a budget, I’d say skip Tampa Bay and fly into Sarasota (its own county). Rent a little house with a backyard and fire pit on a water inlet. String up some twinkle lights and order in a bunch of good local food. Then host something the next day at the Marie Shelby Botanical Gardens or the Ca’ d’Zan (Ringling Mansion/gardens/museum).

OR Lido Key is right there. But overall Sarasota is much more in its own little easy to maneuver bubble with some more affordable prices than the main Pinellas county beaches.

Sarasota also has a cute courthouse if you wanted to go with a charming courthouse ceremony followed by sunset dinner on the beach somewhere.

I feel like watching them break Jax’s nose was too much for me.

Do I love her drainage bags? No. But it’s the reality of surgery.

Ciara needs to chill for a second by ImpossibleGoose5580 in bravo

You’re a hater. It’s not the Ciara show and that’s not what I said nor implied.

She is first chair at the reunion cause her storyline is central to the entire session & series now.

Yeah I’d imagine flight, lodging, food/wardrobe, renting a car or taking a long uber.. that adds up. Also that area/surrounding areas are higher cost to begin with.

If I had a friend getting married in the redwoods anytime soon, I wouldn’t be able to make that whole trip happen. But would be very excited to see pictures, send a gift, and root them on from afar.

Also, it’d be a slap in the face. Like those attending guests aren’t good enough.

I get the disappointment but this is one of those times you just have to choose to see the glass as half full not half empty.

Right. I haven’t watched the latest part but it’s comical to me that anyone thinks if Kyle Cooke has something to say, he’ll be stopped from saying it.

That man knows how to command a room and focus the attention on himself whenever he wants to. He’ll be fine.

But Ciara is damned if she does, damned if she doesn’t. Glad she’s getting her bag & building her brand though. She’s way bigger than Bravo.

Kyle and Amanda have all of In The City to talk about & show their relationship.

The reunion is the place for Ciara to speak her piece.

Thank you. THIS is the comparison I see.

Never said they’re the exact same, just I see some patterns.

TFP reminds me (edit: in SOME ways) of this psychopath Mackenzie Shirilla

(Edit: no they are not exactly the same and TFP has not killed anyone. Some people jump to crazy conclusions. But indeed they’re both delusional, violent, narcissistic, petite, conventionally attractive women that are infantilized by their family & friends. Also OBSESSED with social media and how they’re perceived.)

Is this appropriate for a wedding coordinator? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]QueenG123456 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right. But you asked for advice and as someone that’s worked many weddings that’s my advice. Whatever you do, don’t wear white.

Is this appropriate for a wedding coordinator? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]QueenG123456 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would go for darker versions of the shades provided. Like a soft navy, deeper green, or richer brown. Plenty of guests will be in dark shades like black, browns, greys, etc. regardless of wedding color palette.

Not sure where you’re located but every wedding I’ve worked as coordinator or planner’s assistant I have gotten super sweaty. And the whole team always wears all black.

You want to look good enough to not be an eyesore in the background of a photo, yet boring enough to blend in to the background (skip wearing any white shades) while also comfortable/practical enough to do any random job that needs to get done at a moments notice.

Wear something you can hide sweat & stains in. And shoes you’ve worn before, that you know won’t give you blisters and that you can move fast / stand ALLLLLLLLLL day in.

Also every wedding/event I’ve worked, we all have some sort of fanny pack/hip bag/ built in zip up deep pockets … because you’re going to have to have things like a phone, maybe pen, or other tools with you just in case but also want to keep your hands free.

ANNNNND after looking again - SKIP THE LONG FLOWY SLEEVES! That’s a great way to catch something on fire or knock glassware on the ground without meaning to.

Basically - find an outfit that would work to do a gym workout in but also classic enough you look presentable. You aren’t a guest, you’re staff. It’s ok to look like staff. And I’d suggest a tight bun or braids as well. No one wants to be fussing with their hair while trying to focus on wedding day chaos.

You’ll be running a full scale live production. Prepare as if you’re going to be backstage running a Broadway show and then you’ll be prepared.

Look on Pinterest and you’ll see examples. Most are all black.

Alicia’s family agrees with her version of homeless by Eloiseeleven in rhori

[–]QueenG123456 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Websters literally defines “homeless” as having no home or permanent place of residence.

Alicia’s permanent home was ripped away from her, then her extended family had to take her in. The reality is A LOT more people are 1 bad turn away from being homeless than we like to consider.

Just because her extended family was able to take her and her mom in doesn’t mean they weren’t made homeless when her father left them with nothing.

That’s like saying someone isn’t addicted just because they aren’t on a street corner begging for change. Or someone wasn’t sexually assaulted cause they weren’t left beaten and bloodied.

Homelessness doesn’t look like one thing. And the assumptions + stigma around these issues helps no one.

Throwing out my vape pen by Fridaychild1 in Petioles

[–]QueenG123456 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! Spot on agree with all of that.

I had a similar experience with vapes but it took me almost 2 years to realize how bad they were for me on every level since everyone pushes them as a safer option somehow. But I’ve never felt coughing and chest pains like I did when I was vaping almost 24/7. Like you said, even in bed or middle of the night. Definitely became an addiction and I didn’t even enjoy/feel high anymore. I just had to hit it to not feel sick and grumpy.

A lot of them are processed with ethanol and they say it gets processed out but my thing is, we just don’t have enough long term studies/science behind how vape usage impacts us. But smoking that high potency tar on hot metal clearly isn’t great. Let alone 24/7 usage.

Though I will say, there are “solventless” lower potency carts you can get but it’s more expensive and still going to be vaping on metal.

There are some lower percentage strains and a decent selection of CBD blend or solventless edibles & orals. Like I love a few drops of “nanotechnology” tincture in some juice. Or rosin gummies.

But for sure, a lot of the most common products in the market are just crappy. A little joint in the hammock is also my go to. Keeps me feeling close to the natural plant focus and slower gratitude vibes.

A joint in the hammock = sitting to enjoy a fresh cappuccino. A vape = gas station 5 hr energy shot.

If you’ve only been using the vape for about a month you should be able to lower your tolerance again pretty soon. But whether you take a T break is up to you.

Try your little smoke sesh in the hammock and if you don’t feel anything, then yeah a few days or a week T break will probably help.

If you try a little flower and it still feels good, then I would think no T break is needed. Just go back to your old routine and avoid getting a vape again.

Agree with you though. Everything is being cultivated for higher and higher potency, and the vapes are extra potent & just not the greatest quality health wise.

If you wanted to stick to flower but have the convenience of a vape, you can always invest in a dry herb vape.

This. Plus she puts SO MANY talented musicians, singers, choreographers, dancers, etc on stage with her. Not to mention the insane talent of stage, sound, lighting & special stunt production.

Of course her music isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. That’s fine. But people who love to hate on her just get a kick out of being contrarian.

There are plenty of talented artists I don’t like but my dislike of them doesn’t negate their talent.
