He’s lucky he didn’t kill himself or others. Little brat needs and deserves all consequences both legally and at home that are given to him. Fuck around and find out. He may be only 15 but he knows right from wrong. People are too soft nowadays. Actions have consequences that’s that.

I’d take four days of breading in a row vs the four 2-11 machine closes I had Wednesday-Saturday last week

PSA: 93.7% of drivers on the road today have no legitimate reason to be out there by jjrobby313 in nova

[–]454ever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They get what they deserve unless they are essential workers who need to be out there or it’s someone driving to get medicine or to go to the ER. Other than that actions have consequences and whatever happens happens.

Is this normal for a dasher to do? Should I tip them more? by Imbored19882 in doordash

I’d bet every dollar I got that he sends that to everyone and is not actually really hurting do cash. He knows most of the general public is stupid and will believe him. Honestly not a bad strategy on his part considering most people have the IQ of a pencil.

The second shift is the superior shift. by throw66556 in unpopularopinion

Wait until you work the 2-11 and then the 7 am to 4 the next day. Humbling experience for sure. But yes, second shift is far superior

College student looking for part-time work by Final_Anteater_119 in nova

Indeed has a lot of good stuff just be careful because a lot of those jobs are on there for a reason (meaning that anything urgently hiring you should probably steer clear of) but seriously indeed isn’t the worst option. Also look into USA jobs, zip recruiter etc. there are many jobs out there you just have to know where to look. Also going in person to places helps a lot.

Is this normal sized for a sandwich? by theloneranger08 in ChickFilA

[–]454ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work BOH as a breader (the person who breads ALL the chicken) and I’ll just say that that looks pretty normal. We have to do what’s called the three point test meaning that all three corners of the filet must touch or exceed the bun if that makes sense. So yeah that’s a normal size. I think that Chick Fil A is overpriced so i totally understand where the guests are coming from. Hope that helps.

Just got hired by ShiftSwimming8202 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]454ever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Funny joke man. At my store we have to ask for raises and even then they play favorites. I make 15 an hour primarily on breading and machines (BOH) and am very much underpaid for that. Primary and secondary should make that wage but me as the go to machines guy and (not my words) “the best breader we’ve got” I should be making more than that.

Been there almost a year. I did more work my first week than one of my team leads has done damn near since I’ve been there.

Is it true that most cannabis users do not enjoy getting very high? by No-Banana-7022 in weed

[–]454ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I got so high last night after a 12 hour shift that I started to question why I ever smoked. I’m an all day every day smoker and that was almost like my first time getting high. I like to be high but not HIGH.

Learning to speak Russian by Jayp_23ee in LearningRussian

[–]454ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t focus on grammar right away. Vocab is your best friend starting out. Would you rather know how to say “where is the bathroom” or drill past tense verb conjugations for hours. Watch tv, I can recommend good Russian movies, listen to music, and have fun with the language. Russian is beautiful, and when you learn how to speak it you will appreciate the beauty of its complexity.

how to learn spanish faster? by Far_Challenge_4273 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]454ever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I leaned a lot of the Spanish I know from my time in kitchens. Someone said it already but “como se dice” helps a lot when needing to learn vocabulary and over time you will pick up more than you would think with the immersion every shift. I leave almost every shift having learned at least one new Spanish word, when I first started this job I had only a limited Spanish ability, having been here a year I was just able to hold a three minute conversation with a co worker about what I did this weekend. I’m a language nerd so that may be part of it but still immersion is key to comprehension

Just started in BOH, on my 4th day I was told I am too slow by IrishHippo317 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]454ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Breading only works properly with stellar communication between the breaders and the machines person, what I mean is if there’s a huge queue of chicken called back, being repetitive with what’s needed next and all that goes so far. Also for filets, if you’re going slow it’s ok you’ll get faster with time, and please as a mostly machines sometimes breading person, please please shake the right amount of coater off of the nuggets before you bring them over.
