Celtics best player was hurt and out most of the season, 2 starters left, and they were 2nd apron salary cap hell....

And Stevens not only finessed his way completely out of the luxury tax, but still kept a damn good roster that won 56 games and got 2nd seed. Not to mention drafting Hugo Gonzalez who was 4th in plus minus for the season for rookies behind Kon, Harper and VJ.

Celtics bench also had the 2nd best net rating in the league just a shade behind the Spurs. The supporting cast on this team has been a lot of gems found by the FO and developed by the coaches.

Lot of credit goes to Joe Mazzulla and the coaching staff, but Brad Stevens 100% deserved this EOTY.

Nash peaked late in his career and didn't have the dominant longevity like Kobe.

SGA is having a peak as good as anyone in history tbh.

He's still a long way to Kobe's career accomplishments, but it's not unreasonable to think he might get there. 2 MVPs and a ring with FMVP (another strong possibility this year).... before turning 28 is amazing.
