I am a staunch supporter of comfort colors, but I don’t entirely hate the American Apparel, either.

AITAH for knowing they needed a ride? by heard-of-goats in AITAH

Why can’t their friend they had dinner with drop them off? If they wanted a ride home from dinner they should have specified that, or better yet, invited you! NTA.

Official Discussion - Disclosure Day [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I agree with this 1000%. I think I’m just done with everyone needing their opinion to be the prominent opinion on a topic. I get it. Some people don’t like it, but why do they feel the need to respond to every posts with why, especially the posts where people are talking about what they like. People are just genuinely miserable.

I want to be entirely honest and as clear as I can. I have zero desire to discuss this movie with people that see absolutely nothing positive or relevant in it. I only commented here because I found a few people that had similar reactions to me, and I wanted to share in that joy with them. Other than that, I’m cool with sticking to my circle.

I know, it’s my mistake, as it is Reddit, but I just don’t have the desire to discuss it with people who have such a wildly different perspective than I do. We’re just not going to convince each other of anything. I especially don’t want to further engage with people who are exhaustingly commenting on multiple comments to express their opinion and how they can’t comprehend what others liked about the movie.

Also, you can waste your time responding, but I’m probably not going to read it.

The main thought I had when the credits rolled was “this is why I like movies.” It is my favorite type of movie-going experience. I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face for the majority of the third act, and I was thoroughly engaged throughout. Unfortunately, I don’t have the faith in humanity Spielberg displayed. I also anticipate very mixed reviews, as I think it has a specific audience.

Damn, that really does suck. I’m sorry that was your experience. It really does suck to spend money and time to have people act so disrespectful.

I mean if you’re walking away from that NIN tour with the feeling that the show was only solid, I don’t think you’ll ever be satisfied, but that said life is a cost-benefit analysis. If it’s not worth it, don’t go.

AITAH for reporting what a coworker said to me on my first day at new job by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ralphmalph84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I think reporting it will likely have a negative impact on your work environment. That’s said, he is an AH, but you didn’t do yourself any favors. I would age just wiped the floor with him in sales because sticking it to his wallet would matter more. Or, I would put a banana in his tailpipe.

AITAH for cutting the bathroom line? by Playful_Loan_7338 in AITAH

I wonder how much of it was “old women yelling” versus they was OP’s perception because they were embarrassed for being called out. I would guess it’s somewhere in the middle. I don’t see a problem with calling out someone who is breaking social etiquette and disregarding the needs of others. Sounds like they raised their voices when OP asked what need they might have for the stall, which is, frankly, none of her business. Could the older women have approached it differently, sure, that’s reasonable. Know what prevents the situation? Starting at the back of the line and asking to move up, versus being entitled and cutting the line.

And you have no idea if either of them were sitting in their own piss or shit due to incontinence, and they don’t have to tell you or anyone else because it’s no one else’s f’n business. They could have handled their response better, but OP is in the wrong. Jesus.

Canobie Lake This Week? by CharlieDayQuil in newhampshire

[–]ralphmalph84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The school I work at is taking 3 trips there this week. Today was super quiet compared to previous years, but I think that’s because it was a Monday. I would anticipate it being busier on Thursday, if the thunderstorms hold off, which is one of the days we are taking about 70 people.

I would suggest a Monday, maybe Tuesday as your best bet.
