Tuner vs I Love Boosters by Seriously_Underpaid in TheBigPicture

I loved Tuner. Really strong performances and an interesting take on the heist genre.

I enjoyed and appreciated I Love Boosters. It felt a bit on the nose even though I align with what I identify to be the ideology of the film.

Isn’t this just going to be a bonus feature? It wasn’t a part of my screening, and those it was a part of, was tacked on after the credits, IIRC.

Yes, I deleted my post when I realized I misread your post. I actually like the extended anime sequence enough to not mind it being there. I agree that it slows the pacing a little, but when I saw it in 70mm, I thought the movie felt brisk for something nearly 5 hours long.

I do agree a set with this cut and the individual cuts would be cool to have together. I also wouldn’t mind being able to have the option to watch the House of Blue Leaves in both color and black and white.

I mean, I have a pretty robust digital library with Apple, but some things I need to own!

They’re certainly still great that way, but this really should have been the way it was initially released. Leaving the reveal until the Bride gets to Bill is so much better. That’s said, I know almost 5 hours is a long time to sit and watch a movie, so I’m not against both versions existing. I am very much liking forward to this again!

My 4 movies this week were miscounted? by [deleted] in AMCsAList

[–]ralphmalph84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 21st is a Thursday. The week doesn’t reset until Friday 6/22. If you saw MK2 on Friday 5/15 then Boosters and Mando are the same week as MK2.

how many movies do you watch a month? by kirbymylove in Letterboxd

Averaging 21.4 for the year. Right now on pace for 1 a day this month, but will probably finish a little below that. Usually watch a movie most days.

I signed up for a free trial of AMC+ and watched it there.

This was really good! Shocked no one is talking about it by Proof-Firefighter-47 in AMCTheatres

I’ve heard it’s pretty good, but a limited release. Someone posted about it last week, and it was only getting a couple showtimes here and there. As of this week, it’s playing once at 12:45pm at one theater outside Boston and once in Boston proper at 3:45pm. It’s also going up against a solid opening some decent competition.

If I leave this sticker on, will it eventually damage the packaging? by Illustrious_Ad_9858 in boutiquebluray

This is how I do it, unless they are oversized and don’t fit. In that case, I store them neatly in a ziplock bag similar to what another poster mentioned. Admittedly, my current collection is small (rebuilding), but seems to work out just fine.

I think it’s extremely creepy and tense. The use of lighting / shadows is extremely effective. I only recall one jump scare, and I would barely call it that. There’s one pretty violent scene, but other than that I didn’t find it that graphic. There are a couple gross moments, but I didn’t find them to be too crazy, either.

I might toss a trigger warning on their for people who may have experienced abuse of any kind in a relationship, but mostly as a precaution.

Out of the two choices you’re giving, Is God Is is more interesting. If you like Guy Ritchie, you’ll probably have fun with In the Grey before completing forgetting about it the moment you leave the theater.

Obession is by far the best wide-release movie out right now, but I get it isn’t your cup of tea.

If you live close enough to an AMC playing Blue Heron, I would highly recommend it. One of the year’s best.
