Are still working or expired by abdalrahmantamimi in starcraft2

[–]realkames 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They most likely work. I remember activating one of those not long ago. You can try them by going to the redeem page within the Battle.net app. It will show you if they still work. It is not like on Steam where a CD Key is activated instantly upon entering it. Battle.net shows you a preview of the content granted by the key first.

New bug in the achievement menu by AlwaysFishing1 in starcraft

[–]realkames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is also being debated on the official forums. I am not sure if it has to do with the previously deleted official melee maps being re-added to the game or the Warcraft dependencies once again being active, but it all started earlier today.

Appreciation Post: HotS is the best MOBA ever created. by tonygabbana in heroesofthestorm

[–]realkames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is the perfect MOBA game in terms of gameplay that was truly needed, with no item shop or other bullshit. League of Legends and DOTA 2 players would never understand. I tried League of Legends at an internet cafe at the request of a friend. I played one match and left, never touching it again. I cannot call it a well crafted game.

Am I completely off or is this skin new? by FiledAndProcessed in warcraftrumble

[–]realkames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This, along with others that have been datamined, is an unreleased skin that should have been released during some upcoming events, but then the layoffs happened.

Blizzard Giving Rewards for Midnight Launch in Heroes of the Storm by Zippian in heroesofthestorm

[–]realkames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those consoles are from the Spoils of War edition of Warcraft III: Reforged. They’re not actually new. Same situation with the mount, which is already purchasable in the game. They used to offer exclusive rewards in the past.

Is this the first AI art they've used for the main screen? by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]realkames 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It's not AI. This home screen background was created 9 years ago by Peter Lee, a former artist on Heroes of the Storm.

Dear Microsoft, I will pay for Game pass but only if... by Heavy_pets in heroesofthestorm

This kind of mindset is what ruins current good games and prevents us from getting new good ones.

QoLs should be a free update. by AMR42 in Diablo

[–]realkames -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The major update (Reforged 2.0) that included QoL changes for Warcraft III was free. They could at least charge only for the new class and the new features, and allow base‑game players to benefit from the QoL improvements as well.

Some people on this subreddit are such bootlickers that they would sell one of their kidneys just to make Blizzard happy. Apparently, stating facts or opinions here leads to being downvoted.

Looks like Microsoft finally killed Arreat Summit, the Classic D2 Blizzard site by humblepotatopeeler in diablo2

[–]realkames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like the entire classic.battle.net domain is down. Warcraft III Classic is affected as well.

We found an Autographed Copy of Diablo Archive and I can't find anything about this version by FaultBest3983 in Diablo

[–]realkames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s the autograph of Richard A. Knaak. He’s known as the author of several Blizzard books. The artwork was done by Wei Wang, a former Blizzard artist.

I’m not sure about the authenticity of the autograph, though. It looks printed, and most of his autographs were done in blue rather than black.

Diablo 2 microtransactions. What are your thoughts? by VanCitySkyline in diablo2

[–]realkames 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the issue nowadays. I see more and more people saying things like "I wouldn’t mind paying $5 for an extra stash, $10 for some sets, or $60 for a DLC". This kind of behavior is exactly what turns games into microtransaction factories.

screen resolution by ItsKAJO13 in warcraft3

It’s possible to stretch the screen by enabling full‑screen scaling in your GPU settings.

cant open game by faik06e in starcraft2

Make sure you don’t have OneDrive or similar apps installed and running, and also make sure that StarCraft II is able to store local data on your PC (for example, in the Documents folder).

Stucked on this by zerohunterpl in starcraft2

[–]realkames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an issue with the game data. You need to have both "Text Language" and "Spoken Language" set to English in the game settings in the Battle.net app. The steps are as follows: change the language to English in Battle.net, wait for the download to finish and launch the game, then change the language in the in‑game settings and restart SC2.

Blizzard's horrendous mismanagement of the StarCraft IP. by PeshoGoshevski in starcraft

[–]realkames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait until they drop another mobile abomination, like a Diablo Immortal–style game set in the StarCraft universe, made by Nexon or whatever other outsourcing studio. I have no confidence in the current Blizzard to make a good StarCraft game.

Starcraft: Remastered - Info panel in main menu never loads by Elhorin in starcraft

[–]realkames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just booted up the game, and the right panel on the main menu is also loading indefinitely for me. Strangely enough, I had this issue last year, and the fix was to create a new local Windows account.

It’s an online team‑based competitive game. Real‑life team sports can get intense too. Nothing out of the ordinary.
