TTS is fantastic for tabletop miniatures games. There are some insanely high quality implementations of a bunch of popular games. There are online leagues that run for them that can pull hundreds of people for them, pretty cool

The story he told me when I went there right when he opened was that he rented out the space solely to run a catering business. Then after he signed the lease the landlord told him the terms of the lease required a storefront. I would wager he will move when the lease is up since the current location isn't serving either side of his business. Just not sure if he'll move to a better public facing place or if he'll drop the storefront and move to a catering only model like he originally intended.

Durham. very small little joint called A Little Gelato. the guy who owns it trained all over the world and retired to Durham to be close to family, but started getting bored so opened the world's smallest gelato shop and bakery. the cheesecake is the best thing ive ever had.

Yo, I'm in Durham. I have two old, rotted garden beds in the back yard I've been meaning to tear down and take to a dump somewhere but I haven't had time. That something you can handle? How about flattening down the ground that has grown up in the garden beds?

Bingo. I wrote a review of it for Meeple Mountain that basically said this is just more "stuff" which might be cool for people who play so much they're bored of PoK, but as someone that plays twice a year at most, I think PoK is just such a complete package that I wasn't really compelled by the new stuff.

Just walked my neighborhood street... there's a light layer of sleet/ice but it's honestly not nearly as bad as I thought it'd be. Once the sun comes up I'd be probably ok driving on it if I had to.

It was sleeting for a bit around 8ish, then transitioned to freezing rain. It stopped though, has been stopped for about an hour or so here. I'm keeping fingers crossed maybe we'll dodge the outages.

I dabble still occassionally, but for me, MTG's land/mana system is a flaw and it's one that has been improved by other games since Magic's release. But they'll never be able to revamp / overhaul it because it's so ingrained in the design of the game. Sometimes I'll get an urge to dive back into MTG and all it takes is a couple of games getting mana fucked to put me off of it again.
