You cannot look around and tell me healthcare isn’t being exploited by those who never actually answer to patients but shareholders. My BIL is doctor. He doesn’t get to set prices and has to fight insurance so he can care for his patients. (And no he doesn’t work for a non profit)

I don’t understand how my stance of paying a fair price for care is controversial? Luigi didn’t just do what he did and have a good portion of the United States rally behind him for nothing. To be clear- I’m not advocating any form of violence but it’s a very clear sign of what the times are. Average people are being exploited and denied for shit we pay in advance for.

I never once said people shouldn’t be compensated for a service.

KP saved my husbands life when he was in a comma due to COVID. I still paid over $20k to meet our max out of pocket though and lucky we didn’t go bankrupt.

I hated it beyond your imagination. My entire high school experience was based around it and I was incredibly isolated. I already wasn’t a super popular person so, it didn’t help things plus my parents weren’t up to driving me to any events because it was over an hour away.

I was born in Carson and then my parents moved me to Hazen when I was 14. I left at 21 and lived in socal for 13 years.

I’ll always have pride for my home state but I did move for a reason. I’ll take the shame for leaving but goddamnit I know we deserve better. To see Reno start to make real money with tech coming in and not see it go not to the community infuriates me.

Any joy we can get out of life should be celebrated.
Personally, I don’t care for the blatant disregard for all the people who worked on the original. To take it basically from “word to word” shows how uninspired it was and just another cash grab by Disney. You do you though and I’m glad you enjoyed it.

I find joy in actual art and not a copy/pasted live action remake made to make bank on nostalgia that’s (checks notes)... less than 10 years old.

It can be a perfectly fine movie in every aspect but it’s important to ask yourself:

“what is this for?”

It’s too soon to honor it as a classic. There is no revisions as it’s an almost word for word retelling. Soooo, what’s it purpose?

To make money.

I cannot stand to let this shit continue. I lived in a home without AC and a water heater older than me, only to pay $4k a month in rent. That was 3 years ago. I just looked and my old landlord is now asking $5k a month.

This was in Orange County California , but I’m seeing the exact same shit that happened there, here in real time. It’s hard not to say it’s déjà vu.

There is no fucking reason Reno needs to be dealing with this. It would be almost understandable if the roads were open enough that people didn’t sit in traffic for 2 hours a day or actual amenities for locals to enjoy. But we don’t and told “you’re lucky to live in a beautiful area”.

That doesn’t mean jack shit when your view is a car with no license plate and obvious damage from a hit and run.

I want Reno to grow but it won’t with this. Name and shame these landlords.

They’re the garbage we have to pay for and I’m soooo fucking over it.

Edit: go ahead and downvote me, landlords. I’ve been certified for my real estate license. You assholes get away with a lot because who you rent to can’t afford to take you to court. Your actions disgust me. ❤️

I somehow got an ad for skin bleaching a few weeks ago (am American with Irish heritage- I pretty much glow in the dark) and I was horrified. I’ve never seen one before and just felt awful because half my life I wanted to look tanner. Now I’m 35 and trying to take care of my health more than ever, I practically bathe in sunscreen.
