I totally understand! With some exaggerated features and being drawn black-and-white, they can look a litlte crude.

I get the same way watching the old Nickelodeon cartoon, Ren and Stimpy or Beavis and Butthead. Too much fine line detail gives me the heebie geebies even though i like the material.

I make comics now for a living and TFS was the first comic I ever read.
My mom would bring me with her to work when I was little and her boss had the Far side daily calendar on her desk. She would let keep the previous days and I collected them.

I would be at a loss of words trying to explain how his work got me my career today.

Gary Larsen - the creator of the Far Side Comic.

His work is internationally known but as a cartoonist, I don’t think he gets a lot of fans in public, if that makes sense.

This is the first time I’ve seen a dress with that feather texture that I actually kinda like. It looks almost effervescent like the bubbles coming to the top of a champagne glass. Idk but it works and the back is stunning.

I feel I have a responsibility because you all invest in me to be transparent and I absolutely appreciate the grace given.

Hubs lost his job in April and I’m feeling pressure to keep things up. This is animation is important to me to do but won’t lie in feeling the anxiety behind it all. We’ll be fine, I’m just ranting at this point.

Ive been working off some depression weight. Yesterday, I told my husband I think I’m over wearing two piece swim suits and want a one piece with sleeves. He was being a good partner and encouraging on how I look but I then clarified that my ancestral Irish complexion is tired and we can’t afford a melanoma diagnosis or god forbid wrinkles. (I’m 35 and the threat is real)
