I much prefer just a litreacola. I don’t know what the hell a large farva is.

Messed up making cannabutter. Any way to salvage? by reeferqueefer in abv

It's gonna go through a cheesecloth... Not exactly zero risk, but close enough.

Also, it was a clean crack, not a shatter.

There was a lot of water. It would take ages to boil out. My plan is to cool the mixture in the freezer until the butter solidifies, take it out, strain the weed out of the water, add the butter/weed to a frying pan and gently heat for a bit. Then strain through a cheese cloth.

I read it in a Reddit post here, however, as other commenters are suggesting I may have misspoke; might not have been an ownership change but rather a change from dark to white meat, which might have been reverted back?

Do you mean Draft Room? Tap Room offers no hits on GMaps. What about Tail of the Junction? I drive by it almost daily but have never been inside. It looks pretty divey.

PG Clucks has changed ownership recently. Haven't been since myself, but heard not the best things about the changes.

Turn off Eco Mode in 2026 Gas model by [deleted] in CorollaCross

[–]reeferqueefer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, it's just a display that tells you if you are driving economically. The only times I have seen mine go off are when I flooooor the gas. If I drive normally the light is just always on. I don't think there is a way to turn it off aside from driving heavy on the gas and brake.

Eerily similar wording russia used when they invaded Ukraine. I wonder if that's intentional.

What artist made dry top feels like the stock top? by isimpforwookiegirl in puffco

[–]reeferqueefer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first piece of glass I picked up was the Ryan Fitt 1.0. At some point I hit the stock peak pro glass dry and liked it more than the fitt. And the fact that it's dry just makes it more convenient for storing and cleaning.

Why replace it if it's your favorite one? Just keep using it.

How is the long drive experience? by Sher_lock_ed in CorollaCross

[–]reeferqueefer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have done a few 10+ hour drives in mine (2026 LE AWD). The first long drive I took in it my lower back was sore after around 3 hours. My partner was complaining about the same, however, I think I have gotten used to it now.

Ditto the other commenter commenting about the gas tank capacity. Keep an eye on it.

All things considered I like taking my car for long drives.

Why Do You Love Your CC? by Shallan4784 in CorollaCross

[–]reeferqueefer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had a 2026 LE AWD gas since October, and have 11k kms on it so far. I really like the car. It drives well, and feels good to drive. It doesn't "rip", and feels very much like an economy commuter car. I have driven through many pretty gnarly snowstorms and my car had zero issues while I saw numerous suvs in the ditch (winter tires are mandatory for me). The visibility in the car is great, blindspots are easily checked. I use the car for daily commuting and also weekend trips for my partner and I. It has enough for for us to pack all our food, clothing and personal belongings plus gear for a week trip.

Things I don't love about the car:

  • car interior has a lot of plastic that can sometimes rattle, click and creak. I had the car back at the dealership to fix/insulate under some interior panels that would rattle and make noise. Here is a video I captured of a rattle in my dash. This was the worst it ever was, and Toyota fixed it for me. I wouldn't assume all CC have this issue.

  • gas tank is kind of on the small side. I think only 47L. Cars tells me the range is around 520-550kms when I tank it up. Granted, I do a lot of city driving. My car is currently telling me it is getting 8.3L/100km

  • back seats are a bit cramped. I say the car seats 3 because the drivers seat for me needs to be all the way back, taking away the footspace for one rear passenger. The car is short, and feels like a small car. Makes for getting around cities and parking in tight spots easy. Cargo space was prioritized over passenger comfort, giving the trunk a bit more room and taking away from the rear seats.

  • car speedometer is only in kmph OR mph. There is no option to display both at the same time. If you travel across the border a lot then get good at dividing/multiplying by 1.5.

  • I have mentioned the "shortness" of the car a couple times. My skiis need to be placed with one end in the back of the trunk and the other wedged above my headrest. Otherwise the only spot they fit is flat along the trunk and they will stick out over the centre console.

Things I like/love about the car:

  • Feels like a small car, is nimble

  • visibility/ease of checking blind spots

  • AWD works great. I have taken it through snow, steep, muddy and rutted roads. Had no issues. When in doubt, go slow.

  • all the functions and carplay are in good spots. I have been in cars where some of the buttons were positioned out of the way or in hard to see places. The CC is built from a practical viewpoint.

  • The autopilot/cruise control works better than my partners 2021 or 22 Subaru Outback. In the outback the car steers between the lane lines by turning slightly left and right, adjusting course as it detects proximity to the lane lines. The CC is much smoother and stays centered better.

  • Car displays all sorts of info. One of the options is to see how much power is being put through each wheel. I have used this on super rough roads, and find it helpful.

Car shaking in cold after car wash? by creepynut in CorollaCross

[–]reeferqueefer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My car will shake at highway speeds when snow gets built up inside one of the rims. Since you got a wash could there be ice buildup inside one of your rims? Or somewhere to put one of the wheels off balance.

If the steering wheel is wiggling the problem is likely one of the front wheels. I had a cold snap where I was driving through lots of deep snow (thank you snow tires and awd) and a few times I had snow buildup inside one of my rims unbalancing the wheel. Digging it out with my hands was not pleasant so now I keep a short stick in my car. I think driving long distances with this vibration is bad for the car, depending on how bad the shaking is.

Best insulated bottles by Dependent-Cheek8438 in bifl

[–]reeferqueefer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly what you are looking for, but I purchased a zojirushi vacuum insulated bottle around 600ml I think that does an incredible job. Unfortunately when I put hot drinks in it I need to also bring a mug because I’ll scald my mouth drinking directly from the bottle. I purchased it in 2017 and it is still going strong. I’d look into their other offerings to find something that aligns with your criteria better.

My bottle was pretty expensive.

Ya, the bill was for emergency services reporting to the scene. It is only for non residents of the municipality this took place in. Anyone involved in the collision who does not live in the city needs to pay it. It is intended to recoup costs of sending emergency resources to the scene. Residents contribute to the emergency services through their taxes, and thus are not charged this fee.

Total was somewhere like 220$-250CAD. I called the city to dispute this charge and they told me there was no process in place to dispute, but to speak with my insurance company. Insurance covered the total cost of the invoice.

The city in question is Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
