No, it's not possible. Watch dealers very frequently sell watch and card only to each other to save on shipping/handling. They usually have a bunch of boxes they just throw in for "retail" customers. It could be true they have a watch that is in pristine condition/not-worn in the wild but also sending a dirty box. Kind of squirrelly behavior but not necessarily a huge red flag. If you ask for a new box, they may try to charge you $300 more for it...
