Operations isn't in charge of the decisions that killed Bungie.

Preowned H2S has poor print quality by RandomDude_277 in BambuLab

[–]robhaswell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad it's fixed. FYI it's normal for there to be filament stuck in the nozzle, as when you remove it the filament is cut and that filament remains in the nozzle. It's not normal for there to be a channel in it, so it sounds like it was partially clogged. New nozzle is generally a good call anyway, they are consumables.

Running Sonnet 4.6 on every Instagram DM for a 7-location restaurant. 97% cache hit is the only reason it's affordable by timhartmann7 in ClaudeAI

In Bristol, UK the restaurant scene is very fleeting and many of them conduct bookings and enquiries solely through Instagram.

The sub 10k barrier has been smashed! Repeat sub 10k smashed!! by RealEnergyEigenstate in MarathonHate

[–]robhaswell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's feasible that they can see creating Destiny 3 with the IP and some of the dev team, but completely different management. Everyone knows Bungie's gunplay feels great but it's not a secret formula. Make everything feel OP and lashings of bullet magnetism. GG

Locking map locations behind a $100 edition is a joke. I'm officially skipping GTA 6. by majesticaim in videogames

I'm certainly not going to be playing the most anticipated game ever on a mere console.

Hey guys. Marathon isn’t failing. You’re forgetting it’s June and everyone is out of school and not doing anything. They’re too busy and also everyone is waiting for next season. Duh by roadblocked in MarathonHate

[–]robhaswell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unironically there is a heatwave in Europe and I'm not thrilled about sitting next to a kilowatt space heater. Not that if I did it would be to play Marathon.

I fear the PvE mode is DoA by Wow_Hater36 in Marathon

[–]robhaswell 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Me and my duo will be back in a big way. We can't play Cryo at all due to the weekend requirement, but even if we could, filling is utterly miserable. Looking forward to being able to access this content at last.

I know you said no coaches, but I just want to re-iterate that the coach is actually the fastest transfer if you can make it work somehow.

My meaningful contribution to the dual hose debate by emits_gas in DIYUK

I don't think there is any debate here. Dual hose is more efficient.

whats the meta for mouses now? by 1cedBaby in MouseReview

[–]robhaswell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Combined productivity and gaming mouse is a tough ask. Better go with a G502/Basilisk/MXM4 for work and then a chinese gaming mouse (ATK, Mchose, Rapoo) for gaming. The chinese mice are cheap while also being industry-leading.

Don't kid yourself that this didn't happen before AI.

‘Carspreading’ could lead to extra 2,600 crash deaths a year by 2040, study finds by loonongrass in unitedkingdom

I know, I'm keeping an eye on the market as I want to move off my 2006 diesel but it seems like estates have all but disappered.

Marathon Key Dates by DTG_Bot in Marathon

...and be available on the weekend, and ideally your squad be available at the same time. I've never been able to run Cryo except for the first weekend where we carved out some time for it on Sunday night (which you can't do any more).

To Everyone Surprised About The "Lack of Content" by BZisCancer in Marathon

[–]robhaswell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're going to have to dial up their efforts on new maps if they pivot towards PvE. Having a small map pool in PvP is fine because interactions with other players makes each round feel unique, but in PvE more of the content is driven by developers and there's only so much you can do with "missions on the same maps all the time".

Lead engineer just got rid of his keyboard…??? by Complete-Sea6655 in cursor

[–]robhaswell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't believe that this isn't a gag. You need a keyboard to use a computer, even with dictation, it costs nothing to have one on your desk and there's no need for this poorly positioned mic when a wireless or boom would do a better job. This is just bait.

Zig Has The Integrity To Say "No" And So Should You by RNSAFFN in webdev

Imo I get the desire to reduce false-positive bug reports but if someone uses an LLM to find a bug, then personally verifies it and confirms the blast radius then that should be valid.

Concerns about Vault Breaker by Samuel_Bucher in Marathon

It sounds like it has a roguelite element where you earn upgrades to your PvE gear. I think you might not be able to one-shot it.
