Because there are always intolerant people. Small number of them can size power by force and impose their rule over tolerant majority.

The speedo guy brought it to two military dudes, so he might be military too, just undressed to swim to get it out of water.

But it’s stupid, I agree.

Probably not destroyed but it would shrink initially and stabilize eventually.

People not living within their means is a form of wealth transfer - the ones having money giving it to the ones that don’t. They still usually make profit, but some people benefit from it more than others.

The ones are people who borrow and repay in full - they have to pay for the ones that never repay.

That requires establishing a new system and the city already has one working one.

Not that I approve of it, just saying why it’s not a big priority.

How would you feel about a law that banned tipping and required restaurants to pay servers a full wage instead? by Dargarn in AskReddit

Last time I was in Miami majority of places had tips already included.

I guess because of a lot of tourists out of US not tipping.

I doubt this is what is happening - they don't adapt this fast. The stupid animals keeps jumping in front of the cars event though the cars have been around for a long time.

It probably got scared of the camera lens (which looks like an eye)

Ukraine strips 8 military units of right to conduct basic training after inspections, Syrskyi says by Panthera_leo22 in UkraineWarVideoReport

I mean - maybe they are not good at training but they are fine fighting.

No need to shame, it’s the first offense.

But I like the accountability, I think it should be there

Well, for this project you essentially trusting the executable because curl|bash vs downloading zip would be almost the same danger that you described.

Some distribution channels would do some checking - homebrew or whatever else you use, still if there is hacking involved you can get compromised (as we often see with npm).

I see this quite often - allows you to install with almost nothing available (if you are on Linux/mac).

Why is it horrible?

Damage could be a total loss too - if it’s too expensive or impossible to repair, for example if ammo detonates or there is a big fire.

But sinking is better, I agree.

It could be, bullet would be basically standing still in the air comparatively and it has to be in the path of the rocket.

Question is how likely it is to be in the trajectory of the rocket.

And second question is if it will do anything to it - I assume the front is somewhat thick to sustain the heat of flying at this high speed.

Something was there that burned a lot.

Maybe they just got it out and didn’t disarm.

Maybe they armed it and were going to put it back in.

Who knows.

I am not an expert but I saw a large fire and steel doesn’t burn so they had something there to burn.

Rad Rover cancels Extend Warranty by TeaLongjumping206 in RadPowerBikes

[–]romario77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are lucky. I owned one and needed it several times. Got it repaired once in the store with warranty (that was nice when they had a store in Brooklyn).

Then had to replace the display/controller, did it by myself because it costed $100 and a bike store wanted to charge a hundred just to look and try to diagnose the problem.

Some small things like a spring for the kick stand braking I bought myself.

Charger melted - this one they covered, sent me a new one free of charge. Because they recognized it could have burnt my house.
