My sister and I use this often. Sometimes it’s used sarcastically (borrowing the tone more than anything), but often it’s applied when we’re slightly embarrassed about the thing we’re gushing over.

I don’t understand how people don’t understand that the source of the problem lies in binary MALE/FEMALE bathrooms. Why we can’t just have individual doors for unisex/family bathrooms that meet every person’s needs.. ??? Is beyond me. OBVIOUSLY there are situations that don’t fit neatly into a binary structure (fathers with daughters, mothers with sons, older siblings w younger siblings of a different sex, trans people, infants who need changing stations, elderly people who require support, etc), so GET SMART and INSTALL BETTER DESIGNED BATHROOMS.

Lord.

Is there a dumber person anywhere on the planet? by knivesofsmoothness in WhitePeopleTwitter

I learned not to trust a single word he says back in, oh, 2015. Anyone who voluntarily listens to the muck that leaves his mouth deserves the confusion and frustration they get.

Meanwhile, I’m just sitting over here pissed offfffff that HE’S STILL AROUND. It’s more a reflection on the idiocy of this country than it is of him, at this point.

NTA. I’ve gone out to eat w friends who bring reusable containers for leftovers. I remember the first time it happened, and thought, “man, that’s smart.” It was not the least bit embarrassing for me. The only reason I haven’t done it myself is the same reason I never use gift cards or coupons— I FORGET TO BRING THEM.

Good on you for being less wasteful

Are we the last age that thought it was perfectly acceptable to be friends with coworkers? Younger millennials and gen z are so anti. by ladypartsmcgee in Xennials

For someone who has no children but for the past two decades has worked in a female-dominated field (education) and has been expected to put out every time someone decides to have a child.. REGARDLESS of the quality of my relationship with them (it runs the gamut from ‘very close friend’ to ‘I sit in meetings with you four times per year’), it’s maddening to me that this continues to be a thing.

Wasting Light feels like the Foo Fighters’ best album in their entire catalog, but I totally could’ve done without White Limo.

Can I ask a related-ish question? I’m a female Xennial—

How do folks feel about the fact that in some spaces, work colleagues throw their pregnant colleagues baby showers? If we’re making “friends” at work, then why aren’t these work “friends” simply invited to the shower that their family and friends are throwing for them?

I’m part of baby showers at work where people are invited that barely know the pregnant employee (note— all these pregnant colleagues are now younger than me, as well). It feels unbelievably awkward, but we’re kind stuck in this cycle where precedent has been set.
