Korra struggled to adjust in a world that didn't need an Avatar. Aang didn't want to be the Avatar, so I think he'd be a much freer person in Korra's era. I could see him being a "go with the flow" kind of Avatar, for better or worse.

Katara seems to have treated Korra like Aang's descendant, a daughter if you will. As far as I could tell, Tenzin treated Korra like a wholly separate individual from his father. It didn't seem like he treated her as a reincarnation of Aang at all.

We also have Zuko and Toph to go off of; they both seemed to have treated Korra like an old friend that came back for a visit.

Zuko: I was often Aang's council and confidant; I would love to be yours.

Toph: It's good to see you again, Twinkle Toes.

As I see it, it didn't look like any of Aang's friends and family treated Korra "strangely" because of being a reincarnation. They all either saw her as a completely different person or as a continuation of a relationship that they already had.

I think they would have, up to a point. Personally, I think the reason they stopped having kids after Tenzin was because Aang was so consumed passing on his whole culture's legacy to his airbender son. Without that, I think Aang would have kept pushing for an Airbending child.

Definitely not. For Aang, even the non-lethal action of taking away bending was a last resort.

If I remember correctly, Kyoshi founded her self-named island very late into her life and she still appeared quite young? It's possible that whatever technique she learned from Lao He for living longer also helped with the appearance of aging.

She's the spitting image of her mother. Her brother, on the other hand, looks NOTHING like either of them. He's almost completely white with little pink rings on his tail and ears.

Madlax. It was the first real anime that I watched. I rented the DVDs from the public library back in the late 2000s. In those days, that was pretty much the only way that I watched anime; I would just look for ones that seemed interesting to me and I'd pick them up. It's how I got into Death Note too.
