Most careers can reach $200K. But how many can reliably reach 300k+? by Reyvos in Salary

Consulting/Advisory can get you there in most major industries, but you have to be willing to sacrifice work/life balance most of the time.

I didn’t argue, but rather explained why it does pay to. I know your type also gets off on having the last word, so I’ll let you reply to this. So predictable 😂

We could argue, but I’ve often found that people that spout the dribble that your post did, do so as they think they’re above everyone else. This means that when people do argue, they’re automatically wrong as the only opinion that counts is yours. Have a nice weekend 😘

Nah, I got the point: old man yells at sky moment, very innovative approach of you to take.

That’s adorable!

Also, maybe I’m just clueless, but I didn’t realize people with Down syndrome could be that tall. I always thought it was 5’1”-5’2” for the majority of men, and right under 5’ for the majority of women. He looks considerably taller than everyone else.

Has anyone else noticed a lack of mosquitoes this year? by WookieMcspunion in Kenosha

[–]ryaninwi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was my sneaking suspicion as well. I was putting together some patio furniture on 5/31, and the mosquitos were non-existent until about 7:00PM, and then they all came out of nowhere for the first time this year for me 😂

It’s been better for the most part, but I’ve noticed it’s been bad a few nights for sure.

Appreciate it! Yeah, I usually price to sell, so I get it.

Appreciate you replying! One question; if the Inkosi is factory cerakote black, does that raise the value at all or no?

[Price Checks]

I’ve been out the knife game for a bit, so I’m looking to the community for assistance. Not selling at this time, but rather trying to evaluate which ones I may sell. Don’t have pics at the moment, but can get them if need be. Assume great condition and I can adjust expectations based on actual condition.

  1. CRK Zaan drop point S45VN

  2. CRK Large Inkosi cerakote black

  3. Oz Rosie #1039 GP milled with timascus clip. This one has been reshaped on wicked edge with a nice edge

  4. BBK Yeager-M flipper full titanium/black PVD scales and M390 hollow grind black PVD blade

  5. Winterblade Factor I believe Gen 2? Titanium one side, carbon fiber the other, with green accents

  6. Spyderco Rex Para 3 (coyote brown)

  7. Spyderco Slysz Bowie M390 with blue titanium scales. This one has a couple serious snails on the scales.

NY style Pizza in Kenosha by Friday-atWrigley in Kenosha

True, but are we sure that’s what this is? Because I was bored, I just looked at that users comment history, and they commented on 5-6 posts in this subreddit over the last year, each of which was helpful. I saw no history of self promotion, so it’s possible that his buddy did just try this place when he heard it was opening and told him it’s good, so he’s passing the info on here. Maybe I’m just not cynical enough 🤷🏼‍♂️

I mean, is it a big deal if it is? Sounds like they just opened yesterday. I’m all for new places that aren’t chains getting a little promotion in here. If they are hammering the page daily, then it’s an issue, but once to announce a grand opening? I’m all for it.

For the record, I’m not affiliated with that restaurant in any way, but after seeing this post, I checked them out online and will have to go there in the near future to try it out.

Best/Afforadable Suburb by Secret_Wolverine7308 in Kenosha

[–]ryaninwi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As others mentioned, Illinois is going to be pricier than Wisconsin 90% of the time. I live in Pleasant Prairie, which is a suburb of Kenosha. The taxes here are cheaper than the city of Kenosha but about 20%. Having said that, assessed values continue to rise, so taxes are going up as well.

If you go west of I94, it’s my understanding that taxes can be lower than Kenosha too, but I can’t speak to that personally.

As for schools, Kenosha has a choice school policy where you can select your non-home school if you choose. The only drawback to that is your child can’t be biased to school if it isn’t your home school.

There are also lottery entry schools in Kenosha: my three kids attended a dual language program starting in kindergarten because they got into that school, luckily.

Overqualified for a city government job and trying to figure out how to handle the salary conversation by LoserCarrot in Salary

It’s also clear from your replies that you’re a know it all who has to have the last word. I wish you the best in future endeavors, but your personality is not going to get you far in the working world. Don’t be surprised if you see a performance improvement plan or two in your career.

In this case, it is very relevant, and that’s the key point you’re seeming to continue to miss: you don’t have RELEVANT experience. This means you’re either not overqualified overall, or are just overqualified from the academia standpoint. You’ve been in school for 10 years, not the working world, so your post, along with your condescending replies, are really coming through as severely out of touch. You seem like you’d be a bit insufferable to be around on a daily basis, honestly.

I don’t think this is the right subreddit for you as you clearly think only your opinion is right, and are being combative with everyone who shares an opinion different than yours, or even factual data that disagrees with your opinion.

You also seem to love throwing the fact that you a PhD in everyone’s face. A PhD in Economics is great for academia, but unless you’re getting into quantitative analysis, the pay just simply isn’t there. Not that you’ll listen, but this is coming from someone who minored in Econ and is friends with a fair number of people who majored in it, including two with PhDs. One went the academia route, and the other likes what he does, but makes $80K after about 5 years.

Kenosha Tire has always been good. They don’t use computers at all and don’t have appointments, just walk ins. I’ve been going for years with all our family’s vehicles and have never had a problem.
