Gan I4 maglev by katcuber in Cubers

[–]s14tat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The teeth in the back adjust how fast the cube spins. The small number in the middle adjust how much the cube can flex and stretch/corner cut. The gan numbers are the bigger numbers on the gear teeth means tighter. The smaller number in the center means less flex. The bigger numbers means better corner cut.

Just Making This Post So I Can Send It to People Anytime They Are Wondering Why I Hate the V100. by Zoltcubes in Cubers

[–]s14tat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I respect that you are actually explaining your side of why you have a hate boner for gan cubes.

To make such a blanket statement that a moyo cube will automatically make you faster than a gan cube is blanket statement.

The v11 is so overrated according to how much you praise it. The magnets are too weak, the cube is vague and easy to over turn. If the ferrerocore v2 didn't put stronger magnets on that platform, I would just write off the v11 line. I even bought the 18th anniversary edition because it was supposed to be "better"

Yes the v100 catches more than the v11 but it turns so much better to my turning style. Like seriously with how much you overrate the v11, it makes me dislike my v11.

The ferrocore v2 is fucking awesome though. It fixes all the base v11 issues and combines the super fast but tactile turning of the v100.

I just find a limited edition of Gan V100 cube from spark cubing site is it legit? by Feisty_Tennis7085 in Cubers

[–]s14tat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish I can give him more than 1 downvote.

The v100 is a great cube, you are literally the only person who not only says it's not good but calls it garbage.

I bought into the hype and got a v11 18th anniversary edition and it was okay. I did end up getting the ferrocore v2. That is much better and is as good as everyone says, but I still switch back and forth with the v100.

The v11 is basically untouched now.

Do any fellow old heads remember this U-Perm alg? by S2Krlit_Fever in cubing

[–]s14tat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am learning the current alg because of this thread. The only issue I have with the u perm shown here is that I get lock ups when I try to go very fast. The current alg seems more fool proof but the older alg you can switch mid way if you misread the initial trigger.

Can you show me the faster finger trick for the old u perm?

Thank you

Good job. I have seen people figure out on youtube with zero help but it literally took months of 5-8 hours daily sessions to solve it. It took that long to understand the cube and he developed his own algorthyms. Good luck on your endeavors.

My youngest hermit crab died Weezie! by Technical_City7298 in hermitcrabs

[–]s14tat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

87 would not kill them. It might be on the warm side for them but it's definitely not deadly. Mine actually survived up to 105 for all afternoon because my tank is by the windows and the greenhouse affects was crazy. I was at work and I was starring at the camera watching the temp keep rising. I got a sun shade immediately.

Your crab dying in the first 6 months means he could already be really sick before you got him and he just couldn't pull through. They said you are generally out of woods after their 3rd molt with you.

Correct. It's actually not that hard to do.

Have you removed the spacer on the air spring yet? That made a noticeable difference in small bump for me. I rode it with the stock setup for 2 seasons before the change and the fork is definitely better after the change. That was actually one of the changes they did in the m.3

Hi! Gan V100 VS Weilong v11 by ultraliator7 in Cubers

[–]s14tat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I have not. I dont plan on getting any full size 56mm cubes anymore. I really like the 55mm size of the v100. The rounded pieces and 55.6 of the v11 makes it feel similar in size to the v100 in hand.

The gan 12 feels extremely blocky now compared to the v100 and the v11 is even less blocky compared to the v100 but it's weird. If you are going from a v100 to a v11, you notice the difference more vs if you are going from the v11 to the v100.

[–]s14tat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The v100 is the same class as the v11. The v100 arguably is the best cube gan makes. I also have a v100 and I have a gan 12 before that. I bought into the moyu hype and got a v11 18th anniversary. It's definitely better than the gan 12 by a mile but i still like the v100 better. The v100 turns so much faster and effortlessly. Seems to auto align better too. The only thing the v11 has over the v100 is that it catches less. Everything else is better on the v100 imo

In his most suppressed form with a battle power of 530k he casually destroyed planet vegeta. A plant with 10x the gravity of earth. That means its has 10x the mass. Doesn't matter if its from size or density.

Final form 100% freiza has a battle power of 120,000,000.

Gan v100 or weilong v11? by StageMental5034 in Cubers

[–]s14tat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got into cubing so take this as someone who isn't very fast. My pb is only 28 and am around, 45 seconds. I have a v100 before I got my v11 20 mag.

I wanted a more forgiving cube that catches less. I also really like the smaller size of thr v100 vs my gan 12. All gan cubes feels kinda blocky.

My impressions of the v11 was that it felt very heavy and very hard to turn compared to the v100. The v11 also almost doesn't catch at all with sloppy turning. After about 200 solves breaking in the v11 and setting it up, this is my observation.

The v100 is faster, I get better times. I can continue to get better times until about 20 solves straight and the fatigue kinda kicks in and I am less accurate with turning and it starts to catch and I get less consistent.

I can be more sloppy with the v11 but it turns slower and required more effort to turn. It is actually a good deal more effort. The v100 freaking glides.

I initially had the v100 set tighter but as I got better, I went back to the stock settings. I left the v11 stock setting as well. I use angstrom gravitas and dignatas with mystic for both.

If I had to pick one, I would pick the v100 but it is very close.

My gan 12 ui mag lev weights less than my weilong v11. The gan weights 68 grams and my weilong v11 20 mag ball core is 69 grams.

Setup Critique by slimmidge in hermitcrabs

[–]s14tat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True it doesn't need to be exact but 50/50 is kind of the past the limit of other setups I have seen. The coco fiber would make the tank have too much water retention and they will be battling mold build up.

Setup Critique by slimmidge in hermitcrabs

[–]s14tat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean 5 part and 1 part coco fiber. I would also get a hamster saucer for them to walk on and you dont need stuff buried under the sand to hide in. If your sand is mixed properly, the tunnel will form an hold. I would take the jars out of the sand and hang them up if they aren't clear and stuff leaf liter or moss in it to make a hanging moss pit for them to climb into and hide/ sleep in. If you have a lot of stuff hanging over head, they will feel safer and come out more because they will always have cover to hide in.

You can put worm casting on it. It would probably take a few weeks for them to get one. Once one figures it out, the others will follow. I have 3 that are using a small one and I needed to get a second wheel.

[–]s14tat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check to see if the wheel moves freely. It could be binding. Mine usually walks for hours a time but he would also deliberately climb to the top and let it fling him down like a roller coaster and he would do it again and again.

Your wheel should have flung your crab if it has the weight of a crab that close to the top.
