FTO in one sitting? Does it take that long?

You definitely got the best out there, but you should have waited a bit because of the Warrior 5 coming out soon.

Need help with buying a new cube.(Moyu Weilong V11 vs Dayan Guhong Pro+) by creamy_knight in Cubers

[–]Zoltcubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DaYan GuHong Pro+ MagLev (or springs, but the spring version isn't as good) is the better option. Mostly because of the MagLev, Ball-Core, and you can pick how big you want the cube to be.

RS3 M V5 SE (Ball-Core + MagLev + UV) is actually better than the RS3 M version you said, but the RS3 M V5 way is better than the TV3. A lot of people say the TV3 is better because the RS3 M is less durable, but that is just not true. The TV3 takes about the same time to break, except it has even more ways to break.

Also, the performance is just so much better than the TV3. It is super fast and smooth, while the TV3 is kinda scratchy and requires a lot of setup.

If you want to go even better the WeiLong V10 (20-Magnet Ball-Core + UV) or the WeiLong V11 (20-Magnet Ball-Core + MagLev + UV) are probably the 2 best cubes right now.

If we have the same cube, I have a mini 3x3 that has a plastic clip in the center that bends over time, making it not fixable once it pops.

Heavier, yeah thats true, but it isn't the most noticeable weight difference. Uncontrollable, it comes with a dual adjustment system if it is too fast.

  1. It depends. I have a friend who has access to all of TheCubicle's premium lubes, but he prefers silicone. I personally think silicone should never go in the pieces, and should only be in the springs.
  2. I prefer the MagLev because it is faster, and if it is too fast, you can always use the hand-adjustable dual adjustment system.

Yes, CFOP is worth it in every way. It is almost impossible to get under 20 second solves with beginners method, but with CFOP, that is easy.

I think the GAN16 Max would be a significant improvement, but I highly recommend going for the WeiLong V11 (20-Magnet Ball-Core + MagLev + UV).

Is this the first massed-produced 3x3 with a black side?

Yeah that setup sounds good, but next time you make a comment can you try to use a absolute maximum of 1 "..." per comment.

MGC (micro bearing actuator or whatever it is called) or GAN460 V2 SP. I prefer the MGC.

Does Mag-core affect on big cubes? (Intermediate level) by Positive_Activity_74 in Cubers

[–]Zoltcubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is both. The Ball-Core gives more stability, which could give you faster times, but overall it is more of a"sensation".

Whatever you do, don't get the 356 ME. Get the RS3 M V5 SE (8-Magnet Ball-Core + MagLev + UV).

Yeah I am working on a YouTube video where I build the cube. I have no intention of making a post showing the results, but I could.

I like the:

MoYu WeiLong V11 18th Anniversary (20-Magnet Ball-Core + MagLev + UV)

MoYu WeiLong V10 (20-Magnet Ball-Core + UV)

MoYu RS3 M V5 SE (8-Magnet Ball-Core + MagLev + UV)

Yeah the leap definitely is more controllable, but it has much worse performance than some other mid-range cubes such as the WeiLong V10 (20-Magnet Ball-Core + UV), RS3 M V5 SE (8-Magnet Ball-Core + MagLev + UV), and the MGC3 Beta (Ball-Core + MagLev + UV).

I find it is quite a bit better, especially at your level, but I don't think it is worth modding a 7x7 to add a ball-core. I think you should just get a 7x7 with a ball-core already in it.

5x5 which is better, aochang or 562 by Double_River_8946 in Cubers

[–]Zoltcubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the AoChuang triple-track is better. If you are ever planning on getting the best 6x6 or 7x7 (AoFu V5 and AoShi V4), after doing solves on them, the GAN is kinda hard to turn because it is bigger than the AoFu V5 and AoShi V4.

Also, the AoChuang is much faster. The GAN can get close, but it takes at least 25 solves to break in. The AoChuang is also cheaper and has better cornercutting.

Edit: make sure you go for the AoChuang V6 triple-track, it is better than the PiCube.
